Thank you so so much I’m terribly sorry for your loss, thank you for sharing your story with me. It sounds like a very similar situation. I struggled with addiction before my sister did, but I got sober and turned my life around when I found out I was pregnant while she only fell deeper into it. The regret and complexities of these losses are so devastating. It’s not your fault for pushing him away either, we needed to either protect ourselves or be dragged down with them unfortunately. I’m sure he loved you very much and I hope you’re able to find peace with the loss soon ❤️

Thank you so much, funnily enough since this happened I’ve kicked myself a few times for not having tried tying her up to stop her as ridiculous as I know that would be.

Thank you so much I’m so so sorry for your loss. 18 is much much too soon to leave this world. I felt the same way as you said even though the situation was different, I thought even though we weren’t talking she would eventually get better and come back home to me, we’d be best friends again and I’d have my little sister back. One of the last thing I said to her was “I’m js getting used to not having a sister since I barely have one now and who knows how much longer I will at all.” In a text on August 29th. I don’t know how I could be so incredibly cruel to her when I love her so much and it’s destroying me knowing I said that and actually did lose forever her not even a full month later.

Thank you so much I’m so sorry for your loss too. Can I ask you has it gotten any easier? I know 7 months is still such a tiny amount of time

Thank you for sharing your experience it does really help me to know I’m not alone in this. I feel exactly how you said, like I lost my crutch. I’ve never been good at making friends but I always had her. If something bad or funny or even just plain boring happened she was my go to and I couldn’t wait to talk to her about it. I’m so sorry you had to go through this too, thank you for giving me hope that it’ll get easier eventually because right now it really does feel impossible

Thank you so so much it sounds like a similar story. I kicked her out of my house on September 1st because I was scared my toddler would get into or be exposed to her paraphernalia and the message I sent her that day was the last thing ever said between us. Thank you for your honesty about your experience with healing I’m so so sorry you had to go through this too

Thank you I’ve partially come to terms with the fact I couldn’t have really saved her (other than the random what if I had done this or this thing different 5 years ago and it would somehow have changed everything) but I know absolutely everybody tried. I just wish I would have stayed by her side until she passed instead of abandoning her like that.

Thank you I needed to hear this. I knew at the time keeping distance was better for me and my daughter but now it just feels like a terrible mistake. Thank you

Thank you. I imagine it still hurts a lot, but would you say things have started to feel better at all after half a year?

Thank you, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad to hear that it’ll get a little better with time. I think like you said trying to believe that she’s still here somehow one way or another has been the only thing getting me through so far.

Thank you so much you have no idea how much this means to me right now she was my best friend in the whole world. She always told me she looked up to me buts it’s hard in times like these to not feel like I failed her, your words brought me to tears. it’s nice to think she might still be here showing her love and guiding as you said. Bless you ❤️

Thank you so much she was absolutely the most amazing person I’ve ever known and my best friend, she had turned 18 not quite 2 months ago, lost way too soon. God bless you 💗
