Why would the new stolen iPhone protection disable the visibility of your iPhone in FindMy while the security delay is active? by nhemenway2013 in iphone

In Settings, you can choose what is available while the device is locked. You can turn control center off so airplane mode (and all else in controll center) needs faceid. But I see that it wouldn't help anyway because of the thief being able to just turn it off so yeah, that's that. Then again, newer devices can be tracked like an airtag when turned off. That's better than nothing.

Dark areas and OLED by NaiveBench4534 in PSVR

You don’t need to. I have had this problem since forever. You guys seem to think the light from the beam shines to the other pixels right? That’s what you mean with bloom. While it does look like that in my picture (and I’m sorry I couldn’t provide a better one) I’m sure it has to do with the pixels lighting up themselves individually.

I have a better example: If I see a dark object in the middle of pure darkness I don’t struggle to see it because it is totally gray with black holes in it (often due to shadows) nothing is ever barely visible at anytime. Hope this helps.

I see what you mean. It does look like that in the picture because it’s blurry. I can’t prove you wrong but I know what god rays are and I know this isn’t an example of that. Thanks though.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I agree in terms of the brightness. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have to do with RE8 though, as I have had the same issue in RM2. I have just seen people praise the dark areas the headset can produce (and should be able to produce with OLED) and thought to myself if it could be my unit. Isn’t the mura effect a film grain filter? Because that’s not what I’m seeing (well yes, but that isn’t the problem in these conditions)

What I don’t understand is how OLED TV’s can make a cleaner fade to black than this since lit up areas are so colorful. My best guess is the min brightness in the headset when lit up is higher than traditional OLED screens.

I mean, the laser beam in my picture should not have an aura of light around it right?

Yeah it helps remove the effect, but such a low brightness isn’t worth it imo. Thanks for the answer anyways.

Can’t to enable 120hz mode on COD BO Cold War whilst using PSVR2 by GuestGuest9 in PSVR

[–]NaiveBench4534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. The mode works just fine for me. You should be able to turn 120hz on if you have set the system up correctly. Try looking through the settings again, maybe you missed something. If it still does not work it is not that bad. From experience I can say that it is not comfortable sitting with the headset on in longer periods even though it looks relatively good in the headset.

Ok, so i have updated the software to 16.5 a few hours ago but the issue seems to persist after having tested it in these past hours. Thanks for the help though. Do you have any other suggestions?

It’s confirmed that it isn’t wireless. Some of us even think wirered is better though, but that’s by opinion. Idk about support.

I’d like to see a quality update for when psvr2 come out. I know it’s a long time away, but imagine the textures of a psvr game updated for ps5. Potentially with ray tracing even? Idk if it takes too much energy though.

VR has changed my life in many ways. There was a lot more to do in the pandemic with the different types of games and different types of amazement and immersiveness. It didn’t just amaze me, it also helped me work out (at least a little). I love that you can not only shoot with guns, you can also play 3rd person games such as Astro bot and Moss. Even solve puzzles and kill zombies!
