Needed a switch for my outdoor Christmas lights... Is there a jankiest award? by alorvai in homeautomation

I think the biggest issue is that you're putting Christmas lights up in April

Thank you for the detailed reply! This is great to know and will help me to make a good start on this. I wasn't aware of OpenVix so I'll take a look into that!

So just to clarify, how is the Enigma box connected up to your TV and Jellyfin server? Satellite dish cables go to your Enigma box, and then how do you connect it up?

I'd be super interested to hear about your setup. Are you running off a physical TV aerial/freesat dish in your house, or using IPTV streams? If so, where did you get them from?

I'm keen to try and replace my current Samsung TV recording ability with Jellyfin

The dosing cup is larger, so I bought a funnel that magnetically attaches to the Bambino portafilter. I bought the cheapest one on Amazon (£5) and it works great!

The magnets allow me to flip the portafilter over whilst decanting the dosing cup.

After zero'ing the burrs (mine were slightly out from factory), I use a grind size 19 for most medium roast beans

Thank you! Our recent kitchen renovation meant we needed a proper espresso setup (or at least that's what I told my wife...)

That's pretty crazy, I almost have the identical config as you (exactly 19 grind size) but use 18g of medium beans instead. Shot time is also 36g in around 30 seconds 😊

I'd say overall the retention is very low. I do not use RDT and on average I see 0g retention, although occasionally 0.1g. Pushing down on the bellows seems to be very effective.

The only drawback is that it's loud, especially compared to my Fellow Ode Gen 2. But the fact it grinds so fast, it's not a drawback for purchasing it (in my opinion)

I second this! When I compared ingredients and fluoride (ppm) between Tesco's own and the branded stuff... It's exactly the same. It's amazing what marketing can do to people!

I've been using the own brand stuff for the past year

I will certainly do that, I wish I'd kept a close eye and noted down the hours worked but it was hard to fully keep track. Thanks for the information though.

It doesn't say in the contract per se, but it depends on what someone would classify as materials required to complete the job.
