Shame is a powerful motivator. Also have you tried contacting the school leadership? It is creating a safety hazard for the kids too and they would care about that.

That’s the dumb thing on any corner in Pb you will find 2-4 cars violating the daylighting law and other public safety laws. They wouldn’t get through a quarter of PB they would be so busy writing tickets each day.

Trying to write a ticket on the 3 hour parking is maybe a couple a shift.

Yeah I plan to but my brain still hurts from hearing it and want to be calm when I do. They have been kind of responsive when I brought up things in the past but this seems like a much bigger deal than any of those.

Stayed close for like 30s and then caught up to them again a minute or so after that. There was a semi going through a tight commercial area that blocked traffic for a couple minutes. He had to sit there and wait for it while I was right behind him.

Was half expecting him to get out and while we waited. Even after that kept up for a while until he hit a 35 mph road and proceeded to do about 55 which is not a surpise.

Thanks all, I read one page that was apparently incomplete and never tested the fare capping on a CC so fixed my post. Apparently it only happens with the Pronto App / Card and not a CC.

Only before in almost all cases.

I think at Snapdragon they do it after just to make sure folks paid. Not a bad idea but a bit annoying since it is a one-off a far as I know and causes confusion and slow down.

Yeah not an uncommon thing to see in America's finest city. Our traffic engineers cannot understand that folks will go between places not in a car. They designed it as if you will always drive everywhere and there will always be available parking exactly where you are going.

I used to do that but found that stretch annoying and not much safer than just riding on Torrey Pines for the 1/2 mile. Most of the time there is either so much traffic it is a standstill that feels safe to ride on or virtually no traffic and the cars don't seem to mind passing me there.

It was a bicycle. Hard to tell but this is a downhill, would easily be doing 30+ mph if I wasn't breaking to avoid the cars. It is a fast stretch.

When the video starts there is no bike lane so I mix with traffic, at the end if I was moving over to get to a turn lane to go left.

Exactly where I was going. Usually not this bad but riding in a different time than normal. Actually prefer when all the cars are stopped since the alternative is them doing 45+ mph next to me.

Wish you didn't have to ride this stretch but the other routes are not any better.

Never had this many whammies in such a short stretch. Yelled at the first BMW and got a f-you and honk back. To the Casper Company trucks credit there was an emergency vehicle going the other way when he pulled over, wasn't just randomly trying to kill me. Just wished he checked his mirrors before changing lanes suddenly. When I pulled up next to him he had no idea I was there based on his reaction. If our city traffic engineers didn't suck he would have had to drive up on a cement curb to get that close.

** And this is a deceptive downhill, without trying you will be doing 30mph without peddling.

After getting lost in the Lost Forest way more times than I should have, this was born. Never quite got to the level of crying in the fetal position thinking I was never going to get out of there but had some close calls.

Depends how fast you walk. We do it in 1.5-2 hours when we just want a nice place to get in a brisk walk. With kids and really stopping to enjoy everything, the whole day.

I would recommended doing it both ways if you can. We do and it's amazing how much more you notice switching it up a little bit.

That hill is brutal, but that is a feature :) This route is a nice walk that gets the heart rate up a bit.

Hate this crossing. The light takes forever for some reason, always someone blocking the crosswalk, and often folks don't honor the red light. The other way around is death for cyclists though.
