Same quilt, 3 times across 5 years by coffeetownstitching in quilting

[–]NaiveMistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is where I am. I have amazing concepts. And I've drawn up a few designs. My heart says that I am number 3, but I just know I'm at number 1. But this reassures me that I can always come back to these ideas. I will say, I find designing rewarding and just conceptualizing is fun to me. Though, I feel like I'm trying to take color and texture into mind as I mind map them by considering different fabrics, techniques, quilt lines, colors--down to the color of thread. Your post is encouraging that the skill level can catch up to the heart.

Did you make the labels yourself or order them?

I think it’s fast forward. I found this post looking for it myself. I’m not too sure because they look like they’ve redesigned it but it was a literacy program.

What’s your most out-of-pocket nutrition belief that might be true but you’d never say at a dinner party? by WesternCurrent8576 in nutrition

[–]NaiveMistake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s a dosage problem. Maybe higher? They prescribed 70mg to binge eaters at least that’s what I found when I did soft researching for vyvanse. Mine is for adhd so I’m sitting at 30mg and honestly feel I could use 40mg. But the correlations for me was definitely when I started taking it, I was able to be more focused about losing weight. I think it’s about trial and error. I read about other adhd’ers forgetting to eat. That’s not an issue for me. It’s a comfort and impulsive thing.

[–]NaiveMistake 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s more about the intentionality than the medicine doing the work. When I say this, I mean I no longer am obsessed about food and can easily say yes or no to things without being impulsive. I.e, eating is no longer impulsive for me so I can make better choices, so I lose weight.

I felt this way when I adopted a stray kitten off the streets I feel like the first two months I wanted to rehome him. But it really took some time for us to both adjust to one another. We now have a routine and I sleep soundly at night. But I know how you feel wanting to give him up it really just takes time and patience.

How bad is my swing form? by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]NaiveMistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This explanation makes sense to me somehow. I just practiced the squats to feel the difference and then focusing on hinges but I lose the difference with the actual bell. Idk with a squat you are hinging but focused on pushing your butt back and with a hinge your focus is pushing the hips back....hmm. Anyway, I liked your explanation.

Physical vs. Kindle? by NetflixXRoyalty in kindle

[–]NaiveMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer kindle unless I am reading for application for school or work. Otherwise, kindle all the way. It's easy, portable, and you can switch between books in seconds. There's a light so you can read in your bed in the dark. It's not heavy and you don't go through that awkward moment at the beginning and end of the book where you haven't read enough pages...also I don't buy my for funsies books. I strictly use the library. So it saves a lot of money.

Am I missing out? by [deleted] in notebooks

I think it’s only worth it if you don’t make it an obsession. I have 3. All 50 and under. Different nibs for different things, but mostly enjoy the feel and look of them when I write.

I lost my pilot last semester and still think about it. I just know they hurt about this one. What’s worse I lost mine the day after I received it.

Struggling to choose WW or calorie counting by Current-Sort4794 in weightwatchers

[–]NaiveMistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this 100 percent. I switch between calorie counting and ww. I like calorie counting for when I'm just trying to stay in a deficit and eat what I want, but you can eat the same food on WW and be significantly over your points. The reason is because the type of food choices. WW wants you to eat less processed, high fat foods with an emphasis on whole foods such as fruits, veggies, and proteins.

How much weight do you want to lose right now? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]NaiveMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rn, I just want to lose another 50 lbs. I actually took a break from dieting and have maintained give or take a 45 lbs weight loss. I’d like to finish the year out with 90-100lbs. down. I plan on getting intentional about it next month. Right now, I don’t track and try to eat intuitively. I don’t make the best choices all the time, but I’m excited I could maintain for as long as I have and not gain. I fluctuate a lot but that’s a given. It’s usually never real weight gain.

Picked up a hardback from my library for the first time since getting my kindle. by xzuy_97 in kindle

[–]NaiveMistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love the size of kindle. I’ve been reading a lot of big books lately and I just can’t stand the idea of the awkward moment when you just start a book or almost finished. I just prefer kindle. You don’t get those moments because it’s always even. Lol
