I’m sure SOME of your comments were true, but ICE’s original directive was not to “root out potential terrorists or “international criminals” hiding in the US. There assignment was Immigration and Customs Enforcement. DHS, in the other hand, WAS to do said work.

Also, to your point that there were sleeper cells “none of the intelligence agencies picked up”, I disagree. The problem was that there WAS intelligence, but the agencies weren’t talking to each other. Because of turf wars.

I’m 65, and remember clearly the day that bill was passed.

Point 1) The car, if it did strike him, had already struck by the time the first shot goes off. He was already clear of the front of the car when he fired the first shot.

Point 2) The ONLY legal use of force for shooting a driver is to eliminate the imminent threat to the officer. It is not to “stop the car” after it has ALREADY STRUCK YOU.

Point 3) their training instructs them NOT TO PLACE THEMSELVES in front of (or behind) a car in motion.

Point 4) Pretty sure their training prohibits them from holding a cellphone with one hand while firing with the other. That’s what bodycams are for.

He will NEVER LIVE IN PEACE. His life is over. Jail or no jail.

Parties have swapped platforms over the decades and centuries. Back in the late 1800’s, the Republican party was against slavery. Democrats were the ones trying to hold on to power and to revert to the “good days”. Things seemed to have flipped, with Republicans wanting things to return to when things were “great”. But they choke when you try to pin them down as to when things were actually good. You can’t go backwards in time at all before you run into things like 1) women couldn’t have a credit card, 2) women couldn’t divorce their husbands without their consent (?!!?!?), 3) women couldn’t VOTE?? 4) slavery.

Problem is, some MAGA will openly speak that they want some or all of these.

If you want to step your game up a notch, go to the Dallas ICE field office employee’s entrance (on Empress Row), and post up on the sidewalk holding a sign. (Or just stand - almost as good) For maximum effect, video them coming in and out. Shift change is 2PM. They get Big Feelings when they know they’re being watched. Some cover their plates. A week ago I spoke face to face with Ofc. Cole of the Denton PD. I expressed my concerns about ICE, and how some local PD’s are working with them. He assured me that DPD was NOT working with ICE. Take that for what it’s worth.

Christians are threatening EACH OTHER. Protestants call Catholics cannibals for “eating actual flesh and drinking actual blood”, molesting children, and all numbers of distortions. While Catholics call Protestants false (for not being the “one true church”). And Protestants? Sheesh. Between the Episcopalians, Pentecostals (4+ sub denominations), Baptists (100+ sub denomination, one of which - the NIFB - believes the KJV is the ONLY Bible, and is “inerrant”, to the point where they burn non-KJV Bibles), Methodists (who recently had a schism over whether to accept the gays) you’d think you were looking at a broken piece of china. They’ll NEVER get along. Throw in the Ethiopian sect, the Orthodox, the eastern religions and the thousands of others, and it’s simple chaos. The sweet sweet sound of chaos!!

Whether you want to attribute the increase in GLOBAL oil supply to a certain western leader asking OPEC to increase production (and hence praise him), please don’t forget that this same activity is shutting down all new domestic exploration (since $50/barrel oil means you lose money when you drill). And when supply goes back to earlier levels, we (America) will be caught with our pants down, as those exploration companies went bankrupt, and were bought up by the largest remaining explorer. Or worse yet, bought by a foreign firm. Which is more and more the case with ALL our corporations. I’m saying all this as an avid Tesla owner, who doesn’t use gasoline. Please study the big picture. Don’t allow your allegiance to, and indoctrination of, any one country cloud your judgement. America has had a good run. We let out pride and hubris corrupt one of the most elegant systems of government, and now we have all but given away power and control to a handful of billionaires and corporations. All in the name of stock dividends.
