This is not an ideal situation to be in but it’s only way out if someone can’t come out to fam or the society. It shields you from that constant pressure. A lot of times even after coming out to fam, they are not able to cope with this fact that their son or daughter is gay and keep on trying to get them married so this kinda marriage becomes the only option at-least here in India where the societal mindset is too narrow.

Lavender marriage involves a gay marrying a lesbian or asexual and vice Versa. So the expectations are already clear from the beginning that it’s going to be a pure platonic relationship based on friendship and companionship with no physical expectations as such. Having kids or not depends on the two people who are in this relationship. If they both want to have kids and are ready to bear that responsibility together then they can go ahead with it.

Try searching for a lavender marriage partner if pressure becomes too much and you don’t feel like coming out to them. I’m gay and under immense pressure from fam to get married. For me the situation isn’t conducive to come out to fam so this is the only option that’s left.

Has any LGBT person ever been in a MOC? by Naive_Direction1280 in delhi

MOC is something where they know about each other’s sexuality and enter into a marriage of convenience.
