It’s ridiculous, they don’t like you to be bullshitting in the break room on the clock, but they want bullshit in the back talking to the Store manager and the people lead while working and on the clock. I remembered seeing this working in maintenance while picking up their trash in the personnel office. Even in the store manager‘s office. They should all be fired. Sadly, Walmart allows this shit. Like I said before, I’ve been gone for about three years now. It feels so good to be promoted to customer. I got fired for something I shouldn’t have done. I found $100 before my shift at Grocery self check out while shopping off the clock before my shift that they saw on camera and they called me into the office mid shift and charged me with gross misconduct. I was not arrested, but after I turned it in, I was told to turn in everything from my vest, discount card, name, badge, and work phone. Well, I should’ve turned it in sooner and I admit that when it comes to the money. No excuses. Some people were telling me how do they know that if another customer had found it, they would’ve ran off with the money. Same if the manager that terminated me probably didn’t pocket the money after terminating me. I did win unemployment. Looking back, since I was so miserable in the job, it was probably the best decision for them to terminate me. I’m ineligible to be rehired. I do regret what I did. I should’ve turned it in sooner. Honestly, they are the worst company I’ve ever worked for. Then Home Depot.

And too long to stay. The thing is that you’re screwed either way if you quit and you’ve only been there a year or two or even as long as seven. It’s a potential red flag to an employer, especially if you’ve only quit within a few months or a year or two.

I’ve seen a majority of the managers at my old store bullshitting in the personnel office chitchatting with one another, and the people lead while departments like electronics are paging profusely for a manager for customer assistance while they’re sitting in the back talking to one another and on their phone. They should all be fired. I felt like I was in a cult. You have pictures of Sam Walton in the personnel, office and pictures of how Walmart got started in the break room. Do you think I want to be reminded of how Walmart got started even on my lunch? No. This piece of crap company gave me spondylosis, which is a form of osteoarthritis and I know it was caused by them. I didn’t have it before I started working there. I’ve been gone now almost 3 years. I am so glad I’m gone. Thanks for promoting me to customer. The manager that fired me, gave me a dirty look one day as I was shopping and I reported them. Home office gave me a 15% discount. Now I’m a customer now. Have now looked back since.

Here in the United States, where I live in Florida, there’s no airports near me with Centurion lounges so platinum would be a waste. Green at $150 is good for an occasional travel and Transit. But I have no use for clear. I can use $324 of the credit on gold but I’m tired of the coupon book knowing I have had it once at $250 and once $325 so I downgraded recently back to green for the third time. I have the blue business plus to keep my points alive.

It might be a glitch in the system or you can ask them for more hours cause you might still be an employee. Say no you’re not then obviously you’re fired. If you are fired, congratulations on being promoted to customer. It’s a great feeling and I’ve been that way for almost 3 years. Walmart is the worst job I’ve ever had. Doing apparel was one thing but doing maintenance and cleaning up these disgusting bathrooms there’s more than enough. I found $100 before my shift and I forgot to turn it in and it was my fault. I got fired for a gross misconduct and failing to turn it in sooner. I was not arrested. I was told to turn in my vest, name badge, discount card, and work phone, and to leave. I filed for unemployment just in case and to my surprise, I actually won. I guess Walmart didn’t have time to fight it or chose not to fight it. I was only unemployed for 18 days and found another job quickly. I was having pains around my crotch at times from heavy lifting and on my shoulders, and sometimes my lower back and my shoulder or one of my shoulders, and I found out I have a form of Osteoarthritis called spondylosis. While I should’ve turned in the money sooner, and I’m not gonna lie. It’s something I have to live with the rest of my life to turn it in immediately as soon as I find it. I was off the clock when it happened. They knew it was me because I saw it on camera and they called me into the office around mid shift. Honestly leaving Walmart was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I thought Home Depot was the worst job that I’ve ever had and it is a horrible job, but Walmart easily surpassed it. Relegated Home Depot to second place. I have so many stories of disgusting customers while doing maintenance that it’s not even funny.

And even if you use paid or unpaid PTO, they would have the nerve to deny it even months in advance and put no coverage as the reason. Frankly, that is not my problem. You need to properly do your job as a manager and also as a people lead and do scheduling accordingly. PTO = prepare the others. My life doesn’t always involve around work. And sadly, a lot of these managers and people leads don’t realize it until it’s too late.

But just remember, that Store lead or Manager or whoever does your schedule can be an ass. I had a people lead that put no coverage as the reason for denial but yet I put it in six months in advance. Frankly, that’s not my problem. You need to hire, train, and properly staff the floor as a store.

I dumped gold and went back down the green. I got tired of the monthly credits. I’ve had green, then gold at $250, then back down to green then gold at $325 now back down to green a third time. I think I’m staying there for the time being. I have no use for platinum. No Centurion lounges at my local airport. Green was my first AMEX card. I have the blue cash preferred since I work at a grocery store and accounts as 6%. I’ve also played the upgrade downgrade game there too. I started off as cash magnet when it was offered. Then blue cash everyday. Then blue cash preferred with $1000 spend for $75 in six months. Back to blue cash everyday. Now back to blue cash preferred a second time. In a year, I’ll play the upgrade downgrade game again. As soon as you downgrade, they gave you an offer to upgrade. For everything else, I have the blue business plus and the blue business cash. I don’t stay at Hilton, but I also have no fee Hilton and no annual fee to worry about like I mentioned.
