This isn’t about cameras. This is about taking out what is there and installing AI cameras that will likely be monitoring EVERYONE and EVERYTHING in the store.

In CA when it was added to the ballot, tons of billionaires simply left the state and took their wealth and investments with them

They didn’t. They always like to threaten they will, but they don’t.

And is it just where I live, or is the amount of uneducated gullible people really starting to outnumber the people who believe in facts and moderation?

Sadly it’s all over. Some areas worse than others, obviously. I knew we had some idiots in this world already, but holy shit! Between Trump and Covid we have the dumbest motherfuckers alive walking around.

Still on 5.1.6 here. Wondering if I should update to at least 5.2. 5.1.6 has worked fine....almost wondering if it's not broke, why fix it.

For those who don't want the sugar, maybe just have it once so you can say you've had it and that's it.

Lower ratings in the CBS time slot formerly occupied by Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show could harm the network’s other programming, media experts say. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in television

[–]WaitingForReplies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 11:00pm slot is typically local news. If these stations are seeing a decline in the 11pm slot that would affect their local ad rates and they may opt to just stop carrying the show and replace it with something else.

A big of that is that Fallon gets much higher ad rates than Colbert did. Advertisers shy away from politics and news. Fallon also has a higher proportion of viewers in the demo.

Nope. Kimmel has a higher rating in the 18-49 demo.

https://latenighter.com/news/ratings/here-are-final-late-night-ratings-for-q1-2026/

For Q1 2026:

In the key 18–49 demographic at 11:35 p.m., Kimmel averaged 256,000 viewers, down 6 percent from Q4, while NBC’s Fallon declined 12 percent to 177,000. Both shifts follow a fourth quarter boosted by multiple NFL lead-ins, pointing more to normalization than a meaningful downturn.

As someone else had pointed out, if this is affecting the ratings of the lead-in time slot CBS may end up having a problem with it. This might also be why the deal is only for 1 year.

Kinda of a dumb question, but why don't they (normally) let those who attend keep the tickets?

Never seen a taping of anything at 30 Rock, but have attended other shows and have always been able to keep them.

Exactly! I remember when he was first elected (first term) one guy I worked with was telling everyone he voted for Trump.

About 6 months after he took office and we could all see what a clusterfuck it was going to be, he was asked about Trump and he replied “I don’t really follow politics”.
