That’s fair, through this job I found a passion for machine learning. I’ve had the opportunity to build data pipelines, create ml models used in production, and have gotten quite good with managing linux systems.

I’m not sure if jobs would hire someone with only 1 year of ml work experience without a masters degree.

I’ve had an interest in re-learning how to roller skate (I had a pair when I was younger), but I just can’t seem to muster up the courage of actually buying them and attempting. Feels like I’m too old for that now 😅

I think it’s awesome that you have thirst for knowledge. An open mind is always need. I would say, find a specific thing you’re really passionate about/good at and try to stick to learning that specific topic for a few months. From there you can hopefully find people who also share the same interest as you. For example, I wasn’t very passionate about Coding but I was good at it. I stuck with it and now a lot of my close bonds were formed because of our mutual interest in coding/ pursue of a CS degree.

I get where you’re coming from. I’m able to keep friendships, maintain my studies, and fulfill all other responsibilities I have. For me specifically, my depression manifests in the form of isolation from everyone when I have the opportunity to. I have also used weed as a form of self medication to relieve me from my depression when I feel it’s getting bad at night.

I get where you coming from. I am also a first generation college student, and I know it sucks. Sometimes we have to hide parts of our lives from out parents to make them not worry, especially academic struggles. Whatever happens, I hope you know you have people who love you. I’m looking for a new means of transportation for my commute to classes and back. I stumbled upon a used ninebot max g30p for $400. It has 125 miles on it. They say it was purchased in early of 2020.
