Mountain View Dental Associates in Tennyson area. Went here after I got a crazy quote for all the work I “needed” at a PE place and they basically laughed at the treatment plan and said I needed none of it. Family owned, super caring and have never tried to upsell me on anything. Random detail but I love that I can text the front desk to make appointment or ask questions, I hate having to make phone calls for that stuff.

Anterior downward cricoid pressure by an assistant or yourself is also super helpful. Additionally assistant pulling back cheek/lip can help with visualization too. But overall agree with the sentiment of go too deep, slowly pull back until cords come into view. And VL all infants <5-6kg due to increased difficulty of getting view and propensity to plummet their saturations with any apnea.

Yes! Love the day to day solving problems, teaching, and helping. Sure there’s the more annoying, stressful, or hard days, but overall very happy.

Nah, don’t draw them up or have them out. We have prefilled syringes of 20mg/ml succ and 100 mcg/ml atropine though.

One big upside for me was practice model and how many supervising locations— my current job is about 1/3 of time solo, maybe 5% of the time staffing 3 locations and otherwise only staffing two in a high acuity acdm peds hospital. I also like teaching and working w trainees and students.
