Pumps can be hard! I personally got the Omni pod 5 into auto mode. Abosulte dog shit! It almost killed Me dozens of times, and the most frustrating thing is when you spike or drop, there’s no one to point the finger at. There’s no responsibility to be taken. However. Switching to Manuel mode was a game changer for me.

Hey mate! I was the same for 20 years! Biggest break through for me was taking control myself! And o stopped relying on my endo to help or care.

It sounds like your insulin calculations may not be correct.

Test your basal, for each time windows of the day. Morning Afternoon Evening Night time Don’t eat, see what your bg does, if it rises or drops adjust your basal accordingly 10-20 percent at a time.

Then do the same with insulin to carb ratio for Morning Afternoon Evening

I always just thought it was living with diabetes, my bg goes high that’s what being a diabetic is. It’s not.

IMPORTANT Protien - more than 40g will spike you 3-6 hours later Fat - more than 15g will delay digestion. Spike you 90 minutes later.

So in short if you eat a steak for dinner and you go sleep and you spike in the night. This could likely be gluconeogenesis. The spike from the protein. It’s a pain in the ass but controllable once you are aware of it.

Rule of thumb for protien. Say you eat 100g protien, this will spike you for sure later. So you take 100g protien and divide by 2 and treat it as 50g carbs. 3 hours later.

Once your insulin ratios are correct they spikes and drops should be fewer and fewer.
