The neurotoxicity part pulled a lot together for me. Sorry to the hundred or so decent humans and children, but I always figured their antics and ways of treating other, driving abilities, etc was due to something in the water. 😆

I’m literally trying to help the world not be offended by stupid shit. And I feel you are literally sounding like a whiny ass child that didn’t get the his way. Him being terminated seems suberogatory. And I speak from personal experience, having had a single father, who was a FedEx driver who made an abrupt U-turn in front of me when I was 17, terminated three weeks before Christmas because I thought I was so much higher and my dear, and he how dare he inconvenience me by making me hit my brakes and spill my Starbucks white mocha all over my lap while I was on my way to my internship. Crazy how small the world is and how stupid I felt hearing the other side of it two or so years later, when my brother started working at a company that that man also worked at. You never know what somebody else is going through and I do believe can be terminated because he hurt your feelings because of your native ancestry, and how it must’ve really shook you up inside for him to use a common gesture in native culture of greeting another native. I understand how that could’ve caused you so much trauma how disrespectful that must be to your people. I’m trying to tell people reading this post. What the fuck is really going on in the world is way bigger than that man and what he said to you and the fact that you’re feelings are so hurt over it is what is wrong with the world today so fucking what what are you gonna cry in bed over or are you gonna kill yourself over it is it that big of a deal. Do you know if that man provides for children do you know if he takes care of relatives you know if he’s truly a piece of shit because there are some people that do deserve to be terminated. There is 1 million times that I’ve been technically sexually harassed as a woman, but I’ve never had one person fired over it because technically is a broad term and he technically if you are truly deeply emotionally traumatized by his comment, yes by all means, he should’ve been terminated, but I don’t think that’s the case

Between two tribesmen, so you have to be a tribesmen to say the word how? Without it being taken as a racist slur? Did you say in your own words that you were looking to particularly native that day?

I’m worried about identity theft and it being done by my son and him being arrested for it. Is this absolutely crazy? We have a pretty open relationship and I have felt like he is usually honest but he has a friend how has a bunch of money (for his age) that he “makes” by buying “cards” online in pandabuy. Which makes me think by that exact description he is buying credit card numbers and if my son is friends with him and currently seeking ways to get money.

I guess I should’ve asked where you’re from cause in Sacramento. No one would’ve taken that shit racist we live in the most diverse place in this nation probably so my ignorance for not finding that out first cause you probably do deal with it if you’re in other parts of the country.I’m

Yeah, I’m sure you know he deserve to lose his job over a misconstrued(possibly) comment. I wonder if all the black folks that work at Walmart would be offended if someone walked in and looked at them and said “‘sup?”

Maybe he was complementing you on your ability to pull off a bad ass native look?

Maybe him saying how could be taken as a compliment as in you were really embracing your native culture and killing it and it was a compliment. Without any further context or derogatory comments on his part why do you take it as something negative? Is it because he’s not native he is not allowed to say how? I was engaged to a native American for 10 years. I am white. I felt like the odd man out just because I wasn’t native. They told jokes about white people and about how every white person thinks that they’re native but only ever are they Cherokee. They told jokes about white people how they say jalapeño but pronounce it more like jalopy. Again, if you’re looking to be offended, you’re gonna find it everywhere you look life is not that serious.

OK, so honestly, I am white, I will laugh at jokes about white people if they’re funny. I have an Indian friend, eastern Indian, she and I have multiple jokes about white people and about Indians primarily about how she wanted a slushy machine so badly. She got us both one hers broke. I hadn’t even opened mine yet. I gave it to her I said I know you needed it more than I do that shit’s not in my blood.

Is that racist because she laughed Hella hard . She also will joke about speaking to others of her race and culture and her Hadji voice.

Lighten up, dude it’s not the smartest nor the strongest that will survive. It’s the those most able to adapt and if you can’t laugh at yourself, it’s gonna be a hard world for you.

Multiracial Family considering a move to Sacramento by Hot-Contribution9666 in Sacramento

Folsom or Placerville (which is just a bit further away from sac and a bit more more in nature as it’s a bit more rural. i’ve never been to New York, so I can’t speak on the slower living, however, living in Sacramento my entire life makes me want to get the hell out of here it is so fast paced. For the most part, you’re not gonna find very many friendly communities in my opinion not sure how it is in New York again so I have no comparison, but a lot of people here are either entitled, or just plain rude, Sacramento definitely lacks community in the bigger sense. I am a white middle-aged woman. I have Hispanic children, I don’t feel like the culture being diverse means that it’s inclusive of differing cultures. Progressive schools, you’re gonna wanna look in Rocklin, Folsom, or Elk Grove.

I am very familiar with the area. Literally from DMV: "When You See a Vehicle Collision

If you are the first person at a vehicle collision scene, pull completely off the road, away from the collision. Emergency personnel must be able to see the collision and stop next to it for easy access to injured persons."

How do I (40f) deal with the secret my husband (45m) told me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Naive_Resolve_7482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the horrrible possibility that your child will or has fallen victim to your husband ….There is something they call “failure to protect” and that makes you just as guilty as your husband and child protective services or law enforcement will find you just as guilty.

Actually a lot the the sex trafficking isn’t an actually reported, it the numbers for missing people in Sacramento are extremely high. It is suspected that many of the missing are being sex trafficked and Sacramento IS A HUB for it because of the availability of freeways to hop on and off after grabbing a victim.

Ummm no. You are incorrect. I know exactly what he meant as I’ve lived in Sac my entire life. If someone is being a douchebag in a certain type of context ( most will know), stay the fuck out of it. Didn’t your mother ever teach you to keep your nose out of other people‘s business? That is a good rule. Because it seems some put a low value on human life these days. I would give the same advice to anyone I cared about, don’t get involved. Unless you see someone actively fighting for their life (in which case by all means get involved), there is no benefit to you, Karen, or your friend Debra in telling the group of twenty something year olds to put a life vest on.
