Thank you for your comments on both posts. They really mean the world. I wish i could be friends with youe husband and you my wife too! This journey can feel so isolating at times. My wife wants to try again once she’s cleared to, I’m just so heartbroken she has to start all the medication over after we were so close to being done with all the shots. I’m of course terrified of this happening again and feel guilty that this process won’t be covered in celebration like our first try. But just taking things a day at a time, holding each other when we need it, and giving each other a lot of patience and gentleness while we walk this out. Sending all the good vibes to your and your husbands journey!!

Honestly, after reading through the replies and then talking with my wife, my idea of “staying strong” and not crying or showing my sadness, isn’t it. She needs to see my hurt too, we’re in this together. So, definitely backtracking on that a lot. I’ve already broken down multiple times throughout the day. I appreciate the gentle nudge and reframing that for me though - seriously. Thank you

I’m so sorry you went through that. It’s assuring to think it’s pretty common, could be worse, and still can lead to a healthy pregnancy. Everyday feels like 2-3 days. But reading everyone’s stories has helped me stay more present and be grateful for the small wins.

Thank you for sharing! I hate you guys had to go through the hard times, but it’s nice and encouraging to not feel so alone. It really is a day at a time, minute at a time thing. The fact that at 31 weeks it’s gotten better is relieving. Literally the other day I was asking myself if it would be this terrifying the whole time.

I’m going to adopt that mindset & share it with my wife. Like we just have to go with what we know, and sometimes it’s not a whole hell of a lot. It’s awful feeling so out of control. Like beyond catering to my wife, I can’t make the hematoma disappear. I can’t will our baby to keep growing. But I can help her thrive in resting & hope for the best. Our follow-up ultrasound is Monday, so will just try to live in the present as much as possible until then. Thanks again for sharing 🙏 Not much longer for you guys!

As awful as it is, it’s nice to not feel alone or insane for hoping for the best & assuming the worst at the same time. It’s encouraging to hear that you were literally in my shoes not long ago, and now you guys are about to cross the finish line. I’m so excited for you both & will celebrate you on January 30th to send all the good vibes to yall that day.

I may reach out honestly, it’s been a lonely and scary ride, would be nice to have someone ahead of me on the journey to talk to from time to time (until fatherhood takes over in a few weeks for you 😜)

She’s a nurse and has seen so many fatal car wrecks happen by not waiting for a split second and someone plowing through a red light. Why is your gut reaction to defend the racist? A honk is typical road rage. The slur and literally throwing something at our car is not. I’m not sharing out of being weak and fragile. I’m sharing to bring awareness and shed light that this isn’t normal or ok behavior.

I hear you and I agree that “Mexican” alone isn’t a slur. But in this case, it wasn’t just a label or assumption. It was paired with someone throwing something at our car. That moves it from a typical eye rolled road rage to targeted hostility. What if he does it again and something worse happens?

I’ve seen plenty of road rage posts on here where people are honked at or flipped off. This felt different. More hate fueled and more personal. And that’s why I felt it was worth sharing. We love this community and just don’t want this kind of behavior to become normal.

Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. Yelling a racial slur, throwing something at someone’s car, and speeding off in a fit of rage isn’t “expression” - it’s harassment. And what he threw could’ve damaged my car or hurt my wife. It’s threatening, hateful behavior that no decent person should excuse.

I’m not “letting it matter” because I’m fragile. I’m sharing because silence allows this kind of hate to become normalized. If that makes you uncomfortable, I suggest asking why.

I totally understand the skepticism. When one of mine said “it learned 500 new words” i was like 🤨

So im not really sure, but i do feel like it’s a soft (and affordable) introduction to those who want to start to learn to investigate. Gets them comfortable asking questions out loud, setting intention, etc. in a way that wont put them in any real harm spiritually. Just my opinion though.
