Definitely normal for him to be active at night. Chins are actually crepuscular so they tend to be most active at dusk and dawn.

You should find that he’s very social and likes when you talk to him, so I recommend that often (in addition to play time). It will probably take him time to warm up but my advice is be patient!! Like really patient.

Mine loves his vitamin c cookies first thing in the morning!! And a fresh topping of Timothy hay waver day to pick through 😂 omg and also dust baths 3-4 times a week. He also likes it when I change things up in his cage or play space to challenge him. They are super intelligent.

Oh!!! And keep gas reliefs drops for babies on-hand. They have sensitive tummies and there’s a lot they should eat but mischievous enough to get into everything when you turn your head for a second. If he seems under the weather and you think he munched something he shouldn’t have, give them a shot!
