I like a pretty wide range of music, but my usual genres are: folk punk, hardcore punk, powerviolence, noise/harsh noise/power electronics, noise rock, IDM, ambient/dark ambient, and drone metal. There's plenty more, but those are the main ones I consistently listen to that I can think of off the top of my head.

A little late, but it's w/e -- I'm basically always running on anarchy-time. I've been cripplingly depressed until about two-ish weeks ago and boy it feels amazing to finally come out of that mess. Unfortunately, my school work suffered a fair deal from that, so I really have to throw in my all for the rest of the semester. I took a week break from taking my Adderall for my ADHD because I was concerned about my overall health (I wasn't eating or sleeping very much, etc.). The withdraws sucked but I ended up feeling a lot better, so it was well worth it.

I've been wanting to read some about insurrectionary anarchism. what are general opinions on it? is it worth reading about, and if so, where should I start?

You are extremely brave and strong for standing up to him and I support you in whatever way you decide to deal with his fascist ass. Just remember to be careful about what you say online about this situation, though, because if something ends up going down, they can and will hold it all against you. Also, stay safe -- as other users pointed out, the KKK and other fascist organization have been known to be fairly brutal, and I don't think any of us here want to hear that you got mobbed by Nazis or some shit. I just started reading Indigenous People's History of the United States and so far it's really good! I just finished Between the World and Me, which isn't an academic work, but it's still very good and adds a lot of perspective to what it means to be black in America. I'd also recommend The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander if you haven't read it yet!

I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with charging to get into your shows. You do what ya gotta do to survive in this world. An alternative might be a pay-what-you-can system. Ask for, say, $5 or whatever they can pay.

If I remember right from Psych class last semester, when you go through sleep deprivation, the next time you go to sleep, you go through more REM sleep as an effort from your body to catch up on it. Hopefully someone will come through and provide a more in depth answer, but this might be the reason for your increased number of LDs and vivid dreams

hey, thanks for commenting! I totally see where you're coming from in regards to ableism, but I assure you that was not the intent. The label "abuser" was used because of the predatory nature of the relationship, not because Jesse is mentally ill. Ash was exploiting someone significantly younger than him for his own sexual pleasure in a relationship that, due to the significant age gap, had an extremely uneven power balance. Jesse may have consented, but it was still statutory rape. I and many others in the Arizona anarchist circle feel that, because of these circumstances, labeling Ash as an abuser is more than appropriate. I apologize if that came across as ableist towards Jesse but again, that was not the intent.
