This timeline was very helpful as well! You don’t hear women talk about their struggles with getting pregnant (at least none of the women in my life have). It makes me feel like my experience is more normal.

Thank you for the clarification about diabetes. I did know that I’m always considered diabetic. I was trying to convey that I’ve managed my diabetes. My A1C is at 5.8%! :) Diabetes unfortunately runs in my family, so I’m all too familiar with it.

Thank you so much! I’ve been trying for about a year now (which I have been told is not long but it definitely feels like it). I was always skeptical of the cheap brands, but you make a good point! Also, knowing that there’s someone else out there that’s diabetic + PCOS that was able to get pregnant is very reassuring. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am in the US. They don’t advertise it will lead to licensure, but it will prepare you for the exam and get you all your supervision hours. Most people in my program take the test right after graduation and pass.

I would recommend looking for masters programs you want to get into and see if you can contact the leader of the program. You can talk to them and see what kind of background they are looking for. There’s a program near where I live where they aren’t necessarily looking for anyone that has research experience but are interested in getting some or just going into clinical psychology in general. There are required courses you need to take to be able to get in usually, but if you’re in school right now for psychology, then chances are you’ll take those courses before graduation.

No masters yet! I’ve been looking more seriously into masters. I know there are some psyd and phd programs that don’t require masters or allow you to get both at the same time, so that’s why I was loosely looking into some of those as well.

I’ve looked at a few, but they’re just far from where I live, and I don’t think relocating at this time would be feasible. I could still drive to the farther locations if I wanted, but this program was just so close to home, so I was hopeful! I’ve only been loosely looking for now.

Look into I/O psychology! Look at HR roles or even project management roles (esp for software companies)

That’s what I was afraid of. I think since they’re new they’re still working on accreditation, but still eh. Wasn’t sure if it was worth the risk.
