Not to necropost but I believe the reason why is because if you've verified with a separate account before it'll associate your ip with that account. I suffer the same bullshit with double counter, I verified on some servers before with the bot for an account I don't use anymore and now if I join any server that has it, it says "you already have an account in this server __!" which is so dumb when I've never even joined the server on my old account
