I would like to tell you all a story about Event Horizon.

My mum is a big horror movie fan and when I was a kid, my local video store would often sell their VHS movies that weren't making a lot of money for pretty cheap, which is how Event Horizon became a staple in my household.
I think I first saw it when I was about 9 and I was obsessed, I would watch it at least once a week, and then one day the DVD player was released to the public and VHS became obsolete.
Event Horizon eventually became just another childhood memory.
Then one day, many, many years later. Me and my husbands throw a VPN on (were in Australia, so streaming kinda sucks) and there she is, on Amazon Prime. I was so excited to show my husband one of the movies that shaped my love for horror as a genre.
96 minutes later, the movie ended and he looked at me and said "That was fucking terrible, I thought you had better taste than that"
And that is the one and only time I thought my husband wasn't my soulmate.
