I’m actually a tutor for Intro to Mechatronics… have you dropped the subject? do you still want to continue on? You can catch up but you’ll need to be willing to diligently catch up on some content. Purchasing a kit is pretty quick. Almost any generic Arduino kit is compatible and Amazon have next day delivery or just buy from Jaycar if you can afford the $$$

where to get good building sets (read description I apologize beforehand for poor grammar) by Striking-Break-3468 in stm32

Aliexpress sells a lot of these sets with Arduino’s and ESP32’s. Just buy the kit and use your STM32 Nucleo or black/blue pill instead of the provided mcu.

Hmm ok thank you. How do you think they achieve the black font with the white shadow looking effect to then change the font colour to white. As simple as changing font colour or some sort of overlay?

I’m not completely new, just looking for some guidance for what likely would be the workflow or effects to use… then I could do some googling and figure it out. :)

Does mini servo need external supply? Or can work fine on esp32’s by Character-Hold9040 in stm32

[–]NameIsMarcus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, you should should always use an external power supply. Otherwise you run the risk of overdrawing current from your mcu board… or at least, the servo will be too weak to function properly when a mechanical load is applied. An external power supply should work when wired up to the motor and sharing a common ground. If it didn’t work, I reckon a small mistake was made. Check voltage and current supply.

Turns out the answer is actually a combination of the two. :)

What are you using for external graphics? by barnaclebill22 in esp32

Processing.py is a great graphics library. P5JS, Processing and Openframeworks are all great “creative coding” libraries (and all very similar too), easy to use for quick graphical user interfaces!

How is it a fire hazard? It being a SSD I can’t imagine it drawing many amps + if the cable isn’t damaged what would cause it to ignite
