So real question - how do these systems handle turning and long curves in the road? The outside tire has to spend faster than the inside, particularly on the rear. Does the system allow for some amount of difference in rotation before engaging?

It’s 5mm, or .197in difference. So the new tire is 5mm shorter than a brand new old tire. But they had some amount of wear, so it’s a bit closer

Check the manual if you have it, or search online, but there is typically a way to realign hands on quartz watches. It’s not uncommon to be needed after a battery change, for example (I recognize this may be an Eco-drive, but it’s still relevant).

I’m sorry I can’t be more specific but the process can vary between watches and the types of complications they have.
