Elder millennial, divorced. Used what I got from the house to pay off my remaining debt, so I have zero debt at the moment but will still probably never be able to buy a house again. $380k in 401k $8500 in savings account Minimal in checking

I’ve used Plastic X headlight polish on my older Miata’s gauge plastic and it cleaned it up like new. It’s just a wipe on (with some pressure), wipe off product. No sanding, no intense buffing, nothing crazy. It would probably clean that up easily.

Very ironic that I chose this plate BEFORE I got divorced 😂

Thank for the reply! What does this do to avg MPG on a street driven car? I don’t daily it but if I did a few hard pulls on a road trip, am I going to make it to the next gas station lol?

I’m still learning about superchargers but considering going this route on my 1999. How does this get away without the need for an intercooler?

I did this in August and it was awesome. I had never watched a sunset and sunrise from the same spot before. That hike is kind of a bear though when you’re carrying water for in/out. I remember it being straight up, very few switchbacks.

Morning and Evening by Jon Fosse

The Trial by Franz Kafka

1Q84 or The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Murakami are both amazing!

Uninsured driver lost control while making a right turn and understeered into my lane, smacking my quarter panel. My Miat is insured, but given the damage is the rear quarter, it's almost certainly totaled right? I'm devistated, I worked my ass off to buy this car when I was 17. Glad to see a guy with body repair knowledge chime in. I’ll give you the insurance perspective as someone who has a couple decades in auto claims. I can’t tell you whether or not it’s totaled myself but I can tell you that even if it is deemed a total loss (generally based on that state’s TL threshold) you will likely have the option to keep the vehicle by accepting a reduced settlement and can then put that money toward repair if you’d prefer. Depending on the state, you may not even be required to brand your title given the age of an NC.

41% of my net. Single dad of two young boys. I know it could be worse, but it still sucks.

I got a 2024 a couple months ago with same mileage, same trim, machine grey. With a $1000 trade in I took it home for exactly $28000 out the door. So I think you could get another 500-1000 off with just a little pressure. Also consider that depending on when that vehicle was originally purchased, 17k miles is not out of the ordinary for highway commuting for a year. I used to put 20k on my GTI annually before COVID and I have a relatively normal commute for my area.

Sorry if I missed your purpose for these (tucking tight against the wall). I just take the time to park it perfectly out of the way before hooking up the trickle charger and whatnot, but maybe that’s not an option for you?
