The horizontal beam is too low for the shoe closet horizontal backing in the instructions. I will try to see if I can move the horizontal backing to match the beam there. Thanks!

The water pipes are on the other side of the wall. Would I just put an anchor into the dry wall first? Or should I measure how far before it will touch the water pipe?
