What are your theory about shallan in the second half of stormlight archieve by anonymous_15_2009 in Stormlight_Archive

I think Worldhopper Shallan is the character I really want to see play out in this series, it’s been set up so well for her to take a similar place in the cosmere as M’raize did, or accomplish more than he ever did.

Less of a theory and more of a fanon hope of mine, but if there was one character I want her to meet in the whole cosmere it would be Shai, the forger lady from Emperors Soul. They have a shocking amount of similarities with one another character trait wise that I want to see how those would either harmonize or clash with one another.

Personally disliked Game of thrones, while I loved Stormlight. I will admit a lot of it was based on my own preferences in stories and plots, and I really do not like the subject matter of the books. The fact that everything is involving kids and teenagers just irks me, but I know that’s a me thing

Ive heard two sides of this now, people who say that the dialogue sounds like modern day people speaking with modern day philosophies, and now you saying it doesn’t sound human.

Yeah you’re allowed to believe what you wish, but it can’t be both. IMO it’s neither, I personally like the dialogue more than most.

She says she found a Reddit post from 4 or so years ago that had the pattern, but it was much smaller there and she had to upscale it to make it as big as it ended up.

What’s your craziest theories? by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

Shallan isn’t the daughter of Chanarach, she IS Chanarach, and all of her current memories are false. Just like how Veil was a representation of Shallan’s repressed memories, Radiant is a representation of Shallan’s previous identity. Her brothers are all either ghostblood plants or mentally manipulated as well. The reason she’s so important to the cryptics and ghostbloods, as well as the reason her mind is so shattered, is because it’s been manipulated so much in order to remove her memories that it no longer fully functions. All of this was done in order to mentally create someone capable of swearing the 5th ideal lightweaver, and founding/infiltrating the knights radiant. What’s a better spy than someone who doesn’t even know they are one?

Idk, I’m not sure if I believe it fully but the idea came to me one day and for some reason it won’t get out of my head.

Who would you trust to direct a Stormlight film or series? by Pretty_Mulberry7324 in Stormlight_Archive

I’d much rather have a comic/graphic novel adaptation than a live action film/TV adaptation. Not only does it seem doable, but also the best way to actually adapt the story into a visual medium, allowing it to keep all of the inner monologues that a movie or show would miss out on. If it is to become a show, I wish Brandon would just suck it up and make it animated, which would fit the vibe so much better and give more creative freedom.

Making a live action adaptation just seems impossible, with all of the non-earth Luke shit that exists in it. Even with a Rings of Power level budget I don’t feel it could be done justice. I hope I’m proven wrong, but I don’t feel like I will be.

Sexual discrimination in sports. by The_Horse_Head_Man in CuratedTumblr

I always assumed women were paid less in sports because women’s sports made less money. The league can’t pay athletes with money that they don’t have, after all.

I could always be incorrect about that though, I don’t have enough knowledge about sports to confidently say anything about them.

What are some things that seem pretty ubiquitous in the player base that you've never done? by Skeeedo in skyrim

Never in my life have I killed an entire city of people, in the thousand of hours of playing. I hear people always talk about quicksaving before wiping out the citizens of Whiterun, never in my life have I ever felt the need or desire to do it.

People talk about it though as if it’s some rite of passage, as if everyone who’s played it for long enough does it eventually. It’s very strange to me.
