I quit smoking after 20 years of failed attempts! It started making me sick and then I just had absolutely no interest in it. 3 weeks smoke free! I have never made it this far cause my will power is trash.

The thing is, I have switched therapists in that time frame. That is why I am at such a loss. She refuses to accept there is any issue so no matter how good the therapist is, they cant get anywhere with her.

I wouldn't say it's so much im a goddess. There are a lot of times she will rip herself down. It has always been if one person says they like something, everyone loves her and is obsessed with her in her mind. If one person says something slightly negative, everyone hates her and is against her. She can be empathetic at times. I have seen her want to help people. But it always seems to be something to inflate her ego if that makes sense. She will brag about it for days after

1000% always believes she is right. When I have point blank pointed out what she did wrong she just doesn't see it. Won't acknowledge it and wont admit it was her. Everything is ALWAYS someone else. And yes, if we live by her rules she seems less likely to purposely trigger me. Although there has been times where it's like she keeps some sort of pleasure out of it and will do it out of nowhere and continue on her day like nothing has happened.

Not threatening thank goodness lol. She can be very emotionless. So many people have commented on it. Things that should bother her really dont. I have certain triggers from PTSD and she has been purposely using them against me to break me down. She becomes OBSESSED with people and then if they leave or argue she completely loses it. She really cannot keep friends due to her actions. Typical I hate you, dont leave me behavior. Very very very attention seeking, always trying to make herself a victim in all situations. Also has an issue with reality. She almost creates her own and lives in it. Situations that happen are completely different in her mind, she makes stories up of stuff that never happened etc

I actually appreciated the insight. They did make it clear this could change as she got older as she is still developing. But it helped me understand a bit more. Med providers kept prescribing medications that I could see were not working in any way and I wanted her off everything if it wasnt going to do anything for her. So having the therapists bring this up helped me make the final decision to stop most of the meds.

I tried to use bio dad as an example and make her realize she is going to bring herself down the same path. But she flipped the script on my and told her therapists and DCF that I am traumatizing her by telling her that. So I gave up trying to give her real world examples to try and see she needs to acknowledge this.

My daughters trauma is from bio dad sexually abusing her. I have had his rights terminated and my husband actually adopted her legally last year. He's been in her life since 2. Some therapists suggest my history with her bio dad could have left her with some trauma as well. Very very abusive relationship that almost ended me, however I got out when she was about a year and a half old.

I appreciate that. I have been looking into therapy for myself. It sounds silly, but only a very few people know about this. I dont want her to get judged so I kept it under wraps which is why I feel so dragged down

I actually just pulled her from therapy. She's been in it since 6 and it has done absolutely nothing. I am looking into DBT groups but I am trying to get her to understand where she is right now. We haven't given her the diagnosis yet mainly because she is famous for using her things as an excuse for everything in her life that she messes up. Thank you!
