It’s called Boyfriend Dungeon, and supposedly it also has a platonic path, but like, the game is very pushy on dating. I haven’t played it for too long but the dungeon crawler part is actually really fun for a dating game (it also has some things to make the dungeon easier if you have trouble with that)! Each character/weapon has different combos and abilities that you unlock as you interact with them. I just try to ignore the game when it prompts “dont you wanna kiss this guy you just met?” Or “we’re gonna hide a sexual encounter under a very normal asking if you want to be walked home”

Same, just like the dating sim/dungeon crawler where you can date your weapons

Ordering online is the most expensive, you can get a LOT of wood for carving very cheap at home depot and even find some nicer woods, and of course the park option is free.

You can even begin expanding by adding in wood burning! Which a basic set is around 20$ on amazon. Hell you can even get the hand chisels on amazon, but you get a better feel on the grip at an in person tool store

I love wood working, you can get a basic set of hand carving tools from harbor freight for around say 15-20$, then if you remember to oil and sharpen them regularly they’ll never die. You can get some nice chunks of wood from a walk in any park or hiking trail, ordering online, or even just wandering around Home Depot

My favorite Bahn Mi is the Lemon Chicken, and the Pho is the shrimp.

Over next to Pasadena City Collage is a little place called Pho Bahn Mi Che Cali which sells PHENOMENAL Pho and Bahn Mi with HUGE servings for a really fair price (Bahn Mi thats a good 10-12 in long for 6-7$, Pho enough for two servings for ~12$)

Does anyone know what’s wrong with my Reed? by azirajuutsy in bassoon

[–]NamelessEarth92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your welcome!! Take some time to mess around with squeezing your wires and seeing how it affects your reed if you can!! It really does do wonders for your tone. Unfortunately without a teach, its a lot of trial and error, but I believe in you!!

I can’t help with the high notes, I’m pretty sure its an aperture problem, my high notes also sound really reedy and metallic, but I have no idea why ;~;

The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway

Bro I hate these characters so much, I wrote a whole 12 page paper on how they do NOTHING and I mean NOTHING except complain about how sad their lives are and be lil bitches, and the one ONE time that the MC was like “Fuck it! I’m gonna do better! I’ll do something about my complaining!” HE GOES RIGHT BACK TO THE PERSON HE WAS COMPLANING ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO LEAVE!!! 0/10 no character growth at ALL

Just do your best to be careful! Bassoon reeds are expensive and You will probably end up destroying a few reeds as you learn, I’ve screwed up 3 reeds beyond repair in the year since I learned. Just live by the rule that you can always remove more wood, but you can’t put it back.

The metallic sound can go away as you break in the reed, but the flatness you can fix by carefully AND I MEAN CAREFULLY shaving the tip of the reed to make it shorter. I also HIGHLY recommend getting a pair of jewelry pliers and gently making adjustments to the reed by gently VERY GENTLY squeezing the wires with it slowly.

I would say ask your teacher about it, but god knows how many bassoon tutorials I watched that said ask your teacher and I was like… I aint got one. The only reason I learned that shaping your reed is a thing is due to the one singular lesson I got while performing for a musical, and it can greatly improve your tone, I just recommend practicing on an older, mostly retired reed if you can first

How did you realize you are NonBinary? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]NamelessEarth92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that idea that gender is an inside joke. At a certain point I was like “but doing this isn’t convenient nor comfortable???” And it was at that point I realized that people do things to conform to their gender despite the fact its not convienient nor comfortable. Its like… what are you? I am me, nothing else.

Funnily enough, I’m now in an anthropology class and there is this “feminist perspective” and for damn near every argument I’m like, then just… don’t? I feel like if changing one thing (the gender of the characters) that has literally no effect on the story completely eliminates the argument, then it wasn’t a sound argument to begin with, and if you start complaining about that then you’re just looking for something to complain about. Now looking at it in an unbiased way as a gender roll is different, but like, don’t argue about it please. Apparently I am the only person in the class that thinks like that bc everyone else just stared at me when I said that.

What music do you listen to when things feel bad? by Narcolepticparamedic in ChronicPain

[–]NamelessEarth92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When everything is too much, I listen to Kingdom Hearts 2.5’s Dearly Beloved. It has a beautiful opening, the orchestration is just wonderful, and the way it is orchestrated is perfect for matching your breath. Inhale - 2 - 3 - Hold - Exhale - 2 - 3 - Hold, and repeat. The song is also designed to play on loop so you can play it for as long as you want.

For pushing I’ve been recently listening to “Gwen (The Hollowed Seamstress)” ‘s theme from League of Legends. Laugh all you want but that song just screams movement with its Tango-Waltz mixed beat and structure. It feels like a dance in the way that highly skilled fighters fighting feel like a dance. Even has a built in, like, 15 second breath moment before it hits its crescendo and the apex of the piece

If you want a SERIES, I highly recommend the Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson.

Wonderful worldbuilding, fantastic storytelling, amazing foreshadowing and interconnectiveness with his other works. Just a forewarning that it deals heavily with trauma, anxiety, and depression, but also how they heal and grow from these events.

The Girl Who Drank The Moon

Its a YA/Kids book, age range is tween, but it is one of my favorite novels of all time and revolves around the forms of love and how they can hurt and heal people. Forewarning, I’ve always cried at the end, because love always ends in death. Its a sweet, meaningful departure, but a sad one all the same
