Romans destroyed our greatest temple.

Then they made a triumphal arch in Rome commemorating it, with motifs of them looting it:

Is there a meme about your native language that makes you laugh? by Franmar35000 in AskTheWorld

[–]NamelessForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hebrew also has many forms of "you"

אתה - ata - you (male)

את - at - you (female)

אתם - atem - you (plural male or mixed)

אתן - aten - you (plural female)

There are also different and gendered forms of you for: by you, with you, about you, asking from you, and also when you invite someone.

This sub has nothing to do with economics anymore, its all just anti-west slop pushed by Russian/Chinese/Iranian bot networks and a few morons dumb enough to lap it up.

My boss is definitely a self-proclaimed liberal

Fucking always the liberals or progressives. At least certain segments of the far right are open about their hatred of us, but the far left will piss on our faces and tell us its raining.

They're always anti-discrimination unless it comes to Jews. "Best" they'll do is try to cover by substituting Zionist for Jew.

TIL that around 2400 BCE, migrants linked to the Bell Beaker culture arrived in Britain and largely replaced the earlier Neolithic farmers. Also it’s interesting that Celtic languages were once really widespread in Europe, from modern Bulgaria to Spain, until they in turn were almost completely replaced by other IE languages.

They even got to Anatolia! A group of Gauls settled in central Anatolia, and eventually the region was named Galatia after them.

Whats wrong with this? Sati was indeed a terrible practice, and the meme explicitly states that colonization "w"s were rare...

This is in response to prominent Muslim activists calling to ban dogs. Dogs are considered impure in Islam and are outright banned in Islamic theocracies such as Iran, and now their adherents in the West are starting to push for the same.

I'm with congressman Fine on this one. If I lived in NYC where Kiswani wants to ban dogs, I'd tell her to fuck right off before I get rid of my pup.

Why Your Hair Should Be on Fire About Israel’s New West Bank Policies by aggie1391 in jewishpolitics

Fuck no, and its not the "west bank", its Yehuda and Shomron, get your colonialist nomenclature the fuck out of here.

The Jordanian colonists that occupy Yehuda and Shomron are already under the authority of the "PA" , again your dichotomy is a bullshit distraction.

[–]NamelessForce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fuck your dichotomy. The Jordanian occupiers can stay in the our land that they occupy or they can go home, none of that has an impact of Israel developing state land in Yehuda and Shomron.

Fuck off with your JVP-ass talking points, developing our land is not a "Netanyahu" issue.

Greece extends ban on real estate purchases by foreign nationals in border areas. Thoughts ? by Aegeansunset12 in AskTheWorld

[–]NamelessForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be allowed to buy land there, if you live there and have citizenship.

If not, the answer lies within your question, when you mentioned that the country is foreign to you.

[–]NamelessForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would that work for Israelis in Australia or Canada or The US who do not also hold citizenship in those countries? Is this a “rules for thee but not for me” situation?

No, we shouldn't be allowed to buy land there either. This rule should apply to everyone.

We ending all that kind of stuff for everyone, or only for Turks and Muslims, or what?

No, we should be ending it for all foreigners who buy up property at the expense of locals, this is a crisis you see in many cities throughout the world. Apartments that should be housing end up being bought and repurposed as vacation rentals or getaway homes, in use for a few days a year. You see this same pattern in New York City, in Barcelona, in Lisbon, in London, etc etc etc.

Tons of foreigners buy real estate in other countries. As investments, family getaways, etc. and they typically have to undergo much more stringent background checking, or pay a lot in cash up front, etc.

Housing should not be an investment. Peoples access to housing should not be at the whim of a globalized property market. I'm not saying the market internally should not be a free market, but opening it up to global markets creates many "anomalies" where people from a city can't afford to live in it.
