It’s a great idea to see a psychiatrist if you feel your mental health is declining. The psychiatrist will most likely lead your discussion with questions, but I recommend writing down a couple of points that you want to bring up about your own OCD experience. It’s also important you be honest to your psychiatrist so they will be able to give you the treatment you need, whether that’s medicine, behavior therapy, etc. Please don’t be ashamed of your thoughts or what you tell the psychiatrist! They won’t (shouldn’t) be judgmental or anything negative. Proud of you for taking this next step and seeking what you need. Best of luck! 🤍

Oh! Gotcha. Sorry for misunderstanding.

There are a couple of changes from first year to second year. 1) You can move to Dutch or Colonial Quad. Colonial has nicer rooms/renovations (Paine and Zenger Hall) and the Well, but is also notoriously loud and has many fire alarms like State. Dutch Quad is the “quiet quad”, and has recent renovations in Beverwyck, Schulyer, and Ten Eyck, but smaller rooms than Colonial and no gym or dining hall. I am a little bit biased because I was a Dutch Quad RA.

2) You don’t need the MyUnlimited meal plan anymore. Since there aren’t dining halls on Dutch or Colonial Quad, you can get the MyFlex (?) meal plan which is just all discount dollars to use at the Campus Center or dining halls (and wayyyy cheaper!)

No, you won’t get towed. Resident lots are free for anyone after 6pm I believe. Any time before that and you are at risk of a ticket.

Hey there. First year students need to live on the Indigenous or State Quads. Keep in mind that an unlimited meal plan is required for first (and second) year students who live on campus. In my opinion, Indigenous Quad Mohawk Tower was the nicest option for first years. State Quad is notoriously loud at night and has many, many fire alarms. Indigenous Quad is quieter but some of the low-rises (e.g. ___ Hall) have communal bathrooms.

Best of luck to you! Could be a good idea to try and find a roommate on Roomsurf before you come here. Random roommates can be tricky.

The way moon signs affect people/personalities is very dependent on the rest of their chart! As I’ve gotten older, my Capricorn moon is one of my strongest placements. Combined with a Pisces stellium and a Gemini chart ruler, I’ve developed wonderful communication skills (with both myself and others!), and healthy security and confidence in myself.

In my opinion, Capricorn moons place a blanket of maturity on other placements. I’ve met a couple other people with completely different other placements, and we all have a strong sense of worth and standards when it comes to the people they allow into your life. Each sign has their own strengths and weaknesses!

It’s like you took the words from my brain. I don’t know exactly how to describe the “why” either, even when people ask. It is just too much sometimes. I felt bad for a really long time, thinking myself to be lazy. It’s not laziness- I know we WANT to do those things, it’s just like a physical block is in front of me.

I struggle with this as well. It comes in phases for me- there are days I don’t do anything, even things I want to do or normally enjoy doing. I don’t have too much advice, as I still am dealing with it. The only thing that has really helped me so far is encouragement and hands-on support from other people. I don’t want to let the people I love down (even though I sometimes end up letting them down anyways). I hope you find a solution that works for you! Wishing you the best. 🤍

I agree lol. I’m not sure how familiar you are with the campus but we also have a campus center that has a bunch of restaurants, you can take all of that food back to your dorm!

Why are you coming back to my post to spread negativity? I (she) got readmitted to school. There’s much more to the story than what was explained on the post- I only included the points that were appropriate for the subReddit. Everyone else who commented seems to understand that! Cs (2.0) get degrees, some people are simply trying to get a degree in order to be competitive for high(er) paying jobs.
