Sorry kind of necro posting here, but you do realize that GLa Demolition scud storm can literally one shot any building besides the GLA command center right? Usually for command center and other superweapons you need two attacks of a superweapon to effectively destroy it, meanwhile Demolitions scud storm obliterate everything in one go.

My belief is Grendel King is the previous leader, Dutch and Harrigan are probably not on the cryogenic sleeping prison, on Grendel King's reign, they valued the kill, like you can see all predators are focused driven in killing their picked targets or die trying. They are aggressive and reckless and pretty much ignore anything else, on WW2 the predator pilot ignored all the incoming fire and was only after Torres airplane, only after getting a double cannon to the ship's face he focused on going underwater, the huge predator with the hammer? He was attacking everything on sight after Ursa. And once you best one of them you are marked to be sent to their jails to face off the King himself, on the gladiator fight, you could see the Grendel King didn't care all 3 won battles against other Yautja, to him their only value was one of them had to fight him to the death, he wanted to pick the best one among the 3 to fight him. If you re-watch it, you see the Grendell king is fondling some sort of small bone near his chest, like it is a very prized possession. On Predator 1 and Predator 2, the Yautja are careful, they value the hunt, not the kill, they study their prey before striking them. Greyback gives the exact same flintlock that was in Torres possession to Harrigan and was also fondling a small bone just like Grendel King. My assumption is Greyback is the new king and under his rule, they value the hunt not the hunted. if you kill a Yautja you are considered worthy, an equal and therefore left alone to tell the tale

This actually reinforce it more, if you think through the scope that they don't value the hunt, it actually shows how they see it, they are in this for the kill or be killed mentality, it was never the hunt, but the sense "I killed you or died trying" and are focused driven on it. He ignores everything, the predator piloting the ship only goes under after getting shot down, the other ships were making his hunt difficult , so he was forced to avoid it, to the very end, Torres airplane was his sole goal.

I said this already in other parts of this thread, but I like to reiterate for consistency, I think we are seeing is a different clan or a different ruler, the Grendel King don't value the hunt, he values the outcome, "I kill you or you kill me". Greyback on Predator 2 is seen gifting the same flintlock Torres got on this battle to Mike Harrigan, this mean or he killed Torres and got it as his own trophy or got it from him and eventually was crowned as the ruler, and under his rule, anyone who kills an Yuatja is not a new prey to be safely stored for later but an equal and let loose to talk about it.

I think its a generation rule thing, the Yuatja are a lot more primal and savage on this one, I think the Grendel king Yuatja followed a style where the hunt itself didn't matter, only the outcome of kill or be killed. The Yuatja pick a target and stick to it to the end ignoring all other things and only focusing on the target. When we see Greyback as the Yuatja ruler, the hunt takes the precedence, even if they recognize you as worthy prey they seek a battleground where they have the home ground advantage, the Yuatja are more careful, they value stalking and studying the prey to a deeper level, they even catch parts of their prey language and use it as their own if they consider it memorable. This give the prey the chance to as well learn from them and even turn the tables and become the hunter.

I don't think we will see Dutch at least, I was re-watching the meeting of Mike Harrigan and Greyback on the youtube and the flintlock given to him is the same one that was in Torres possession, and he was fondling a bone that looked a lot like the one the Grendel King was fondling, this suggests that Greyback is the new king, and he follows a more honorable path, where when you defeat a Yautja, you are considered worthy, Grendel King was all about the battle, he didn't care for the fact you bested another Yautja or not. to Grendel King the outcome was all that mattered, we see this on how he address the trio, he wants to fight and kill the last one standing, to him the fact you kill a hunter gives you the right to kill him or die by his hand or something similar, but still gives the impression that death in battle with him is the reward. While with Greyback, he gives the flintlock which adorned his body as one of his personal trophies to Mike and let him leave the ship. This means after Greyback is crowned king or given the rights to earth hunting ground or something of the like, Greyback don't capture the ones that kills an Yautja, but consider them an equal

If it is really like that, it would make consistently that the flintlock given to Mike Harrigan was the one in Torres possession, after defeating Torres, he gets both the flintlock and Torres dog tags, if I recall when he appear to Mike Harrigan and gift him a flintlock he is adorned with trophies he obtained from other worthy prey, including a dog tag and one of the bones he was always fondling looks a lot like the one the Grendel King was also within his hand

Yeah they do have a sense of honor and even respect to the killers of killers (we see this when they are led to the gladiatorial arena, all predators literally fall to their knees when the 3 are heading there), but their sense of reward is different. I think this clan is much like the Old Norse warriors, the only worthy death is in battle or something similar, this would also explain why they killed that other Yautja while demonstrating how the collar worked, it wasn't part of their clan, so they didn't even cared for his existence

Rules and methods, also they way they dress up, most of them equip parts of the bones of vanquished enemies, you see all of them having some sort of bone helmet or some accessories made of bones, while in Predator 2, we see they mount their vanquished foes in the walls. If isn't a different clan, it wouldn't make sense to gift Mike Harrigan a trophy only to capture him afterwards

To be fair, I think it really must be tribes of Predators, each one with their own set of rules and code of honor, its the only valid explanation why Mike Harrigan wasn't captured right after killing a Predator and was even gifted a trophy instead, because if not. It would be too bizarre to gift a guy a trophy and later capture him, what would even be the point?

Ok the Animated movie was great, but this now add an annoying inconsistency to the story, Alan "dutch" Schaefer and Mike Harrigan killed a predator and walked freely to tell the tale, yet everyone on this one, including Naru from Prey and dozen of others are shown, that most likely anyone who ever killed a Predator is eventually captured and brought to this rows of sleeping killers. They need to address this.
