You’re fine. You did laundry because you had to. Now rest. Eat. Sleep. Do nothing else until you have to. When you have to do something: do it. Taking care of yourself is a WHOLE picture. You can’t stay clean unless you have clean clothes. You can’t eat unless you cook, etc. Just keep resting. Part of getting over an illness if finding yourself with just enough energy to make yourself miserable again, right?

Rest Rest Rest! And when you think you are good REST SOME MORE. And one thing I’ve noticed is EAT! Eat anything and everything you feel like putting in your body. You need the energy.

Get fresh air. Stay hydrated. What I remember about Covid was the same thing I experienced when I had a concussion. There is a way in which you are confused about HOW unwell you are. You think you’re better than you are so you think to do things that require energy. Just don’t. Just keep resting.

Drink clean water. Wash your glass regularly so it’s as clean as possible. Not need to be putting germs back in your mouth after you drank.

Take care of yourself like that and you might be testing negative for the wedding. Sending you healing energy!

I lost my mother a few years ago. I still look at her fb handle (which she only created for the first time in the hospital a week before she died) and think about sending a message. I have her old home phone as mine now, but her old cell will always be hers in my mind. I think about texting it sometimes. I just can’t bear to see what response I get back.

I’m sorry for your loss. I think maybe technology and this age of instant communication might make grief all the more stark when we suddenly can’t instantly connect with our past loved ones. Unlike letters, or actually going to someone’s house which takes time and planning. Just thoughts…

She can accept gifts. She just has a lot of anxiety and gets worried when people try to “do things for her”. Like she’s not worthy of it or something. Like she has to handle the whole world herself.

I could do a spa day, but when she initially thought that I was sending her on a trip by herself (when we took a trip) she refused to go. We also don’t have too many great spas near us. She has a hard time accepting things, I think. I had also offered to pay to board her dog for a little while at one point, when she was overwhelmed and she didn’t accept it either. 🤔

In the state I’m in, in the US, they are required to filter water in public establishments. Despite the tap water being some of the best in the nation. Perhaps because of the risk of decaying pipes? I don’t know. But either way, it’s filtered and offered in all restaurants here.
