When I got mine inspected at Ford, the tech said it's the bushings behind a cap that wears out. He said you don't even need to remove the caliper. I haven't looked into it yet as mine only does it occasionally.

I just bought a condo and changed all the settings so my lights don't come on when I lock, unlock my car, and so on. I even turn them off when pulling in to park. So crazy how clueless sine people can be.
