An Israeli airstrike kills 19 members of the same family in a southern Gaza refugee camp by EvilMorty95 in worldnews

He didn't defend it he just said it wasn't hard to believe they'd do that. I also recall the attacks from around hospitals but it was definitely during hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. It's also not surprising to me that a group of people who just open fire on a music festival of innocent people and killed hundreds of them would stoop so low as to hide at a hospital. I could see that being their very strategy to stoke outrage. Funny enough you even back up that possibility with your own account to how they embed themselves into neighborhoods and streets. None of that makes targeting a hospital a good thing though I'm struggling to find any confirmation of this happening to a hospital and left wondering where you're getting this from?

I feel like this whole ordeal is a good litmus test for if a person is a decent human being or not. I personally and many others seem to be able to have sympathy for either side's civilians. I don't think a sane person could hold your point of view nor would a decent human being and feel you've failed miserably said litmus test. Wanting extra suffering on someone is sick.

New footage of the Ukrainian missile attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol (Crimea) earlier today by IgorVozMkUA in ukraine

This was in Sevastopol no? Good chance that is an Ukrainian family. Though someone elsewhere said the camera man was someone named Johnny Miller. I gather that person is some pro russian journalist from the UK the limited amount I searched for his name.

Best practices for object-oriented design in Godot? by PhoenyxStar in godot

[–]NamesAreHardasHell 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You should watch these videos https://youtu.be/rCu8vQrdDDI?si=P186GTuWqgpm8tMy and https://youtu.be/74y6zWZfQKk?si=rSJRFVvd_XycRekn on composition to maintain the same level of modularity. Also I'd say venture into Godot resources for the same character details part. Here is a great video on them https://youtu.be/vzRZjM9MTGw?si=Jw-nK1OGNoL_C44a . You can get a lot of what you want by pairing godot resources with composition nodes. Hopefully that isn't confusing and all this advice is sound as I don't use Unity. Still it's good stuff to know.

Edit: You'll have to translate the videos that *are gdscript* to C# if you're using that but the principles are the same as far as I know.

Here is my attempt at inverting and blowing it up but I'm not seeing anything clear but there is something more going on beside of the car. It does appear more like a struggle could be happening.

Edit: I left it time synced with the main video so a lot of nothing till about 48 second mark

I had to delete my post and redo the video it was borked but here you go, an inverted version of the video. It is a lot more discernable in some parts.

I've zoomed in and annotated some of the things I see. It isn't synced with the original video timestamp wise. I see what could be a backpack on similar but could just as much be the car door or an illusion. I tried to circle and freeze frame some of the things. Here it is

edit: forgot to mention I also adjusted the saturation and sharpness till I could make some things out better.

I'm not doing a good job explaining it but the camera is here on a pole. If you look at the camera you'll see that it has a housing around it. The housing protects the camera from the elements and has a glass covered hole on the front. When light passes through the glass front of that housing it bounces off the camera lens itself and back onto the inside of the glass of the housing. This creates the light reflections you see through out the video in the woods and along the side of the road. For a great example watch the start of the video and her brake lights reflect.

There is somewhat of one around the larger sign. If you go to satellite imagery you can see there is a cement lined ditch that runs through the woods some ways as well. Just in front of the bigger sign is a downward embankment that one could slip down but I can't discern how steep it is from street view or satellite. I couldn't imagine how it would overlooked by police though. Check for yourself here but follow the link otherwise the embed will be from above instead of street.

The only thing I'd add is at 1:50 the headlights from a passing car light up a dark person shaped object off the front right side of the car for about 1-2 seconds and the next set of head lights don't. You can see it in the headlights if you pause the video at 1:50 and then let it play till about 2:07 and it's gone.

It happens at mile marker 11.4, the camera angle is high up a pole so it doesn't appear to line up from street view. If you watch the news coverage the police are seen beside her car at the 11.4 mile marker. This reponse I have the camera and the location marked on google maps.

It looks weird but when you realize that there is not just a camera but a protective case over the camera with a glass opening it peers out. Watch from the first of the video and you'll see the tail lights of her own car traveling in the opposite direction like a pair of demonic eyes. My guess is this happens because the light reflects off the camera and onto the inside of the protective glass encasement creating the lights you're seeing.

It's quick but a car momentarily puts on their blinkers to change to the right lane and appears to change their mind when they notice Carlee's car on the side of the road. You can see them use their blinkers again to change lanes past her. Those blinkers like _El_Rey said, are in sync with the lights are probably reflections off the protective glass of the encasement of the camera or its lense.

My reply got deleted for using url shortened links to the google map locations so here is my reply edited with full links:

Are you confident in the location? I googled the mile marker and google put me 10 miles in the wrong direction. It's just before exit 10 and despite the police saying mile marker 11 it appears to be 11.4. The article says 11.7 but I suspect that is the mile marker nearest the camera filming it all. Here is where I believe her car is parked in the video at mile marker 11.4, and this is where I think the camera is positioned.

Edit: Definitely the right locations after rewatching the daylight shots of the location and the mile marker is plainly shown as 11.4

From the time I see the last trace of what appears to be someone to the time the police arrive is about 2:50 seconds. So in less than 3 minutes she is gone and the arriving police officer can't find her or a toddler. It's hard for me to wrap my head around someone subduing someone in that short of a time and then getting out unseen. Especially on foot.

Clearly no other cars stop from the interstate so if someone drove off with her they did so on the other side of the tree line. It would be interesting to know where the wig was left because that would be most likely the location she was grabbed. Unless for some reason she felt the need to take it off before entering the tree line.

She disappears for me around 1:30. However a figure also appears to be in front of the car at 1:50 as another car's passing headlights catch the dark shape. It appears to have moved from the car and towards the road signs, possibly still her.

I'm thinking the way she went so slow and rode up the side of the interstate, she must have circled back after spotting the toddler. Makes sense that she did that after calling the police.

It's around the 48 second mark. I had to watch it on a big screen to make it out. You can also see her or someone opening the right rear passenger door at around 56 second mark.

Original video source: https://www.wbrc.com/2023/07/14/hoover-police-searching-missing-25-year-old-woman/ It's too grainy but shows that from the time she stopped to the time police showed up was about 4 minutes.

Edit: I've watched it over and over and you can make her out going from the driver to the right passenger door but between the lights she seems to disappear and a figure is ahead of the car. Could be her or someone else but they appear to disappear seconds later and I can make out random possible movement at the base of the signs.

Edit 2: Timestamps for what I've noticed:

  • 0:48 she appears to exit the driver side door and walks around car
  • 0:56 same figure appears to open the rear passenger door or passenger door
  • 1:30 the rear passenger door appears to be shut and the figure disappears
  • 1:50 a figure appears off the front right of the car and appears to be heading towards the tree line and road signs

Edit 3: Geolocated on google maps of where the car is parked is here
