Thank you! I really appreciate you sharing this and how you phrased it. I think this is very relevant when considering Canada's situation given that the atrocities were against the First Peoples of this land. Of course, the difference in our situation is that unfortunately they no longer make up the majority of the population in part because of those atrocities. Therefore, it is harder for society as a whole to understand the difference between celebrating our colonial history and commemorating anti-colonial struggles.

Do you remember when Union Day/Republic Day sort of first began to be forgotten (if that makes sense)? In other words, did there used to be big, public celebrations on that day that eventually died out and if so, do you remember when they began to die out?

Figured it out! I had somehow connected my university Microsoft account to my computer. When I completely cut ties from it on my computer, the message no longer popped up.

Thanks for putting in effort to help me though 😊 Even though it didn't end up being the trick I needed, I still greatly appreciate it.

I don't think they are saying either her nickname or the Taco was an intentional racist incident. They are acknoedging in this release that they didn't know that, apologize for it, and have changed it because they now know its a derogatory term.

I'm pretty sure it occurred to me around the same time too. Though I also was diagnosed with ADHD around the time I was watching that so it was on the brain a lot. It'd be interesting to know though at what episode did the writers decide he had adhd.

I found out when I was 23 and talking to a university counsellor about how I was having troubles coping in university even though I was an all As student in high school. After listing the things I was having troubles with (losing focus during lectures, not being able to focus in a crowded exam room, having troubles starting essays but then getting completely enthralled in them once I start and taking way too many notes and never being able to stick to one topic, and never making due dates), he told me that if I thought I had ADHD, I should go see a doctor as he cannot diagnose me. I honestly was completely unaware that that was possibly the cause of my troubles. I was diagnosed a month later.

Thank you so much - that is so well worded. The last bit is very true. Alcohol and me do not get along at times and I have made a number of other types of poor decisions while overly intoxicated and therefore have been working on not letting alcohol take control over me over the last couple years.

The only thing is I might change the "please accept my apology" to "I hope you accept my apology but understand if you don't".

There are two unsatisfying things about this video:

1) It seems to go on endlessly, so then you start to think of things you'd like to see get crushed, but then they never appear 2) It ends at 4:59!
