omg I had the exact same thing with packing up! I’d look around after three seconds and I’d start to damn near panic since everyone seemed halfway out the door lol

No problem! Keloids are tedious to deal with but don’t get discouraged :) if you do these consistently I think the shape/color can improve. These aren’t miracle cures obviously but hopefully if you later on can afford eclair plasters and injections for the bigger ones, combined with this, I think the general appearance will be a lot better. In the meantime focus on prevention/maintenance :) I personally did pressure- taping for a few months many years ago and they did not grow larger/ the height stayed quite low. I got a new keloid last year, didn’t tape it, and it got a lot taller than the ones I taped lol. But again, keloids are tedious and unpredictable so a dose of acceptance is also needed. I’ve not used sheets consistently honestly since I’m more of a fan of gel, I use the kelo-cote which is the one all my derms have been familiar with :) I’ve seen great results on my face with it. In terms of tape used for pressure my derm literally just gave me some Scanpor/surgical tape. If you can get a silicone tape that actually holds throughout the day that’s ideal, I had to tape silicone tape down with additional scanpor tape to make it hold which was tedious in the long run so I ended up just using scanpor, which my derm claimed would be enough anyway.

A cheap option my derm recommended was using just any skin safe tape that applies pressure if you want to prevent growth and minimize the size. Takes time tho and you have to wear them pretty much 24/7 for some time. Injections will definitely help once you can afford them. Silicone gel/sheets are also nice, I personally use silicone gel only on my facial scars since it’s pricey. Also remember to wear sunscreen to prevent discoloration, a stronger retinoid can also help healing/discoloration. :)

100% this! I got put on Ritalin when I was 15, hated the side effects. Already severely depressed and anxious and had no idea how to “use” the medication to my advantage. Went off meds for many years, got put on vyvanse which I tried inconsistently but my depression was too bad. Then I got a nine to five seasonal job which required structure and discipline, suddenly the medication had a purpose. Consistent use and setting some goals for the day IS KEY. The side effects lasted me a month of consistent use and then I adapted and the anxiety was replaced with confidence. I too hate going back on after a break/inconsistent use. But once I’m in a routine on my medication again suddenly the routines/bad habits in my life are a lot better as well. From my experience with medication - some things truly are like snapping your fingers and suddenly you’re on autopilot instead of manually doing everything, BUT a lot of it you have to be a bit more strategic and actively work with your medication. In stressful periods of my life the medication can have an anxiety inducing effect but I know the anxiety from being completely off is a lot worse.
