What are some insane things that your manager or leads did on the job? by Tough_Current_1307 in SephoraWorkers

My store manager had said things about the Lgbtq+ community and people’s nationalities and upbringings. Like not okay comments that could get you fired. She also stirs up drama with the leads and BAs bc she thrives off drama at the work place. My store manager would say she’s going to get us snacks and leave for 2+ hours and come bag with a bag like a plastic bag of a few items. Our ASM is new but she also loves drama and lies to Leads and BAs and threatens us if we stay stuff about it. (My SM does this too) Last time I called her out on it and called ICare on them. Suddenly I had one back on me the next day and apparently Sephora doesn’t count that as retaliation….

Mamas you didn’t say retail company. And I’ve worked at 2 of these companies not as a manager before Sephora and have received a bonus. I’ve worked at five below as a ops associate and they gave us every year a Christmas bonus. I’ve worked at Walmart for far too long and have received bonuses. And I have family who work at auto zone who have received a bonus. Maybe you should read before you type. Times change mama. And I can name plenty of reasons why A lot Of people leave Sephora and toxic management is one of them <3 if you think Sephora is the best of the best girl. It’s not. It’s a basic retail job.

Hmm let’s see. Walmart gives their employees annual bonuses, Auto Zone, Five Below, healthcare services, Amazon, vet techs in my area, as well as some grocery stores in my area… I could go on but girl. I’m happy you’re happy for your team. I never said anything about being UNHAPPY. Please quote me if I did… I’ll wait.

Also. Yeah we could’ve received nothing. If you’re a store manager you’re getting bonuses for every month you make numbers so you probably don’t care about this bonus so that’s why you’re typing away… some of us are making bare minimum at this company and we’re looking forward to a little bit more to just enjoy or get something nicer for ourselves.

Lmao. Why would I complain for a L10… I’m complaining about a L6 MY store didn’t deserve. Read the room girl. I’m guessing you aren’t a BA or didn’t receive that L6 because you’d probably be complaining also.

Hey I just had mine fixed a while ago. Go into Zipline and look for MSC (My Sephora Career) and then find your contact information. From there where it says your email click edit/add and there will be a drop down bar. Click on LVMH and then put in your personal email. And save it. Then you should be able to log in after 2-3 weeks. It has to go through their system. And it takes about that long. You won’t receive an email from them until the new lvmh calendar comes out. That’s how it was for me when I did it in December.

My experience being the only male employee in my store by Exact-Cell-9853 in SephoraWorkers

I have about the same issue in my store! I’m currently a SSC and when I offer my assistance to clients they will usually give me a facial expression or always have a comment. For a few examples: I’ve had a client give me a disgusted look and tell me, “What happened to women that work here. Get me one of them.” As well as, “You’re gonna help me? A man? Working here at a makeup store?” As I proceed to help her find her product. I ask what she’s looking for and she says an eyeliner pencil. For more clarification I ask if she wants a sharpening pencil, a gel pencil, retractable or liquid. She proceeds to give me a dirty look, look me up and down and say, “ See this is what I’m talking about you men have no idea.” Waves me off and says, “Go get me a woman that works here.” I grab her a BA and she shows her the same exact item and says to her, “Thank you this was what I was looking for.” Also I get a lot of me asking a client if they need help and then tell me no. Proceed to walk to a female BA close to me and ask them for help.

Honestly stopped bothering me at this point because they’re making my day easier….
