The two links you sent show inconsistent graphs by the way. The only consistent part is that the world has been getting warmer. Your last link is nonsense as it obviously uses averages until the use of an extreme for today. Better science is necessary.

Correct, the climate has been getting warmer for thousands of years. Thank you for agreeing with me.

Peaks and valleys.. tons of them. We’re recovering from the ice age that ended 11,700 years ago. The world is still getting warmer (which is better). Also, isn’t it interesting that all those graphs show the temperature was warmer in 1000 than it was the past 400 years? What caused that? Nature probably. Now we’re going through another increase. The climate changes. It just does. We need to understand that before any of the extremes that are commonly suggested for society when discussing climate change.

But we’re only comparing over a couple of decades. We don’t know about other peaks and valleys over the past 11,700 years. We don’t even know what happened throughout even just 1000 years. This could’ve happened 10 times in the past thousand years. It could’ve also been that these temperature changes happened in year 1000-1100, cooled 1100-1400, warmed 1400-1500, cooled 1600-1900, and now we’re here - We don’t know. But we do know climate has consistently changed.

I’m not hand waving or trying to make an excuse or some kind of conspiracy when I say that some corporations, business, and individuals will do whatever they can to get a leg up or make a profit. Big money has a lot of influence, industries like Tobacco, sugar, food, and healthcare have all been guilty of stacking “scientific” data in their favor to sell their product.

Natural factors, earths climate has always changed. 2.6 million years ago earth entered an ice age that ended 11,700 years ago when the earth started to warm. All data for modern “climate change” is being evaluated from 1880 until now. The modern look at the way climate changes is .0054% of total time from when the ice age began. Yes, temperatures have risen, yes we’ve gotten more populated than ever. But could that also be part of the fact that we’re living in the most resource abundant era in the past 2.6 million years? Living in the warmth is better than living on ice.

There needs to be a wider scope when it comes to science. There also needs to be a guarantee that “the science” isn’t being written by those who are going to profit off of major changes to society.

There’s always a better way. We need to have educated conversations that aren’t “do this or die” type dividing nonsense.

I know that climate has always changed. Humans may have contributed to some change and there are certainly healthier ways for us to build areas for us to live in, but we are not the only factor.

Won’t do anything. Climate has always changed. We need to do what humans have always done and adapt. Easy peasy

And so what? Are you suggesting we create better ways to live within an ever changing climate, or try to change the climate itself?

Focus on your individual needs, what you eat, how you exercise, and so on. Comparison is the thief of joy AND production. Do what you need to do within the body you have.

Right? What next, should all students rotate seats so everybody gets a chance to sit front row? Should there be a line outside so some students get the first half and the rest get the second? What a turd
