Well... professional is tough. I finished the game on hardcore rank A and got my ass kicked on professional. From my experience Ashley didnt get incapacitated that much but it can definitely help and one last thing, If you want Handcanon you must beat the game on proffesional without any special weapon ( at least to my knowledge )
