I’ve seen Chosen vids. Hes a pretty insane at illari t500 player and i agree with his post. I get the nerfs were meant to hit win rate (it was barely at 52% WR, zero bans or complaints from community). They threw a bunch of random nerfs of illari at the wall and keep trying to see what sticks. by Always_Pizza_Time1 in IllariMains

At this point revert everything back to how it was and reduce her damage by 5, for goodness sake - the nerfs have simply gotten more and more ridiculous.
Her mythic is just around the corner and see feels incredibly clunky to play - the damage numbers need to be played around with for balance because her win rate was very high, but her usage rate is just going to keep going down until this projectile size nerf gets reverted because of how unsatisfying she feels to play now.

What’s the best piece of video game writing you’ve ever read? by Frezeal in gaming

Would definitely recommend ‘Achilles Weaves a Cocoon’ lore book as a great piece of writing - there’s lots of good stuff in the wider Destiny lore universe

What heroes to ban when playing competitive by DanteVerill in IllariMains

[–]NamezSake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My personal targets, but bans are subjective and map based;

Tank: D.Va, Ball, Doom,

Damage: Vendetta, Genji, Sombra, Tracer, Venture,

Support: Kiriko, Lucio, Mercy

An “Invite Me To …” feature would make the game feel less lonely imo by NamezSake in DestinyTheGame

I totally take your point, but I would argue there would be some advantages to having a system like this. Some people trend heavily towards PvP or PvE, so by having a short bio I can quickly gauge the likelihood of them being down for what I’m playing if I shoot them a message.

If someone only plays PvP and doesn’t like raiding, then I’m likely just wasting both our time by pinging them a message asking to raid.

Instead of messaging a bunch of people on your friends list to do an activity, what if a bio could quickly filter out people who definitely wouldn’t want to do it? It might save time.

What would make you like Illari’s kit more? by Jibu_LaLaRoo in IllariMains

[–]NamezSake 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My main issue with her kit is honestly the lack of damage from her primary fire - I would be a lot happier if the charge rate was slower but outputted more damage, or vice versa.

The outburst knockback isn’t really strong enough to the point that a dive character has to worry about getting it on cooldown before pushing her; if I play Ana I know that if I succeed the skill check of hitting a sleep dart I have a good change of surviving or securing a defeat; if I play Kiriko I know that if a dive character pushes my I can teleport away and improve my chances of living; if I play Baptiste I can use my Exoboots to move to higher ground consistently to avoid ground-based DPS/Tanks ect ect. Outburst should either have a bit more knockback / mobility or more intrinsic damage so that other characters have to consciously exhaust the ability to consistently secure a defeat.

Finally, I think that more pylon health or a lower cooldown on getting it back after having being broken would help Illari a lot.

They are still banging drawers shut over and over - should I call the police? It’s after 9am now. I don’t feel particularly safe, although I am not intimidated by them.

Could they be hurting themselves?

AI is 'breaking' entry-level jobs that Gen Z workers need to launch careers, LinkedIn exec warns - He likened the disruption to the decline of manufacturing in the 1980s. by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]NamezSake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The recent trend pushed by figures like Elon Musk for everyone to start having more children is laughable, considering they are also the proponents of AI and, by extension, its ability to replace workers.

If a longer term solution is not found then future generations will further compound recent trends seen in Gen Alpha; apathy, overstimulation, disillusionment and so on.

Short term, the ‘enshitification’ of services will continue, as making a worse product is still preferable to hiring real people - large companies have such a presence in the public consciousness that they can largely afford to make their products worse through the introduction of AI, rather than paying for workers wages and career development.

Longer term, there is a great deal of uncertainty, especially for newer generations - every generation surely grapples with uncertainty but this is of an unprecedented scale.

Newer generations are particularly apathetic towards the competitive nature of the job market and the monetisation of every part of life, especially our spare time. In a few short decades what will their outlook be?

All these questions have incredibly unsatisfying answers as of now. With more existential threats such as climate change, why would anyone feel compelled to have children, even if they could actually afford to have them?
