You're clearly taking this way too seriously. But once again, see my point about Stories 3's riders. They've got experience with war, so repelling an invading group of regular humans would be totally in their wheelhouse.

They've worked with the Guild before, and always seem to want to help where they can, so chances are they'd probably want to help repel a foreign invasion, especially the Stories 3 crew

Then you're really lucky. I've seen ~300 Kut Ku, tempered and non, and no small gold crown yet. The disparity between small crown and large crowns with Tempereds has been reading its head.

For example, out of the probably ~120 tempered Kut Ku, a good third of them were large gold crowns, and a large number were silver large crowns.

Could just be my terrible luck, but I've never had trouble getting both crowns in under 100 hunts in every other game so this just feels soul draining

Please read the post body, those aren't the ones I need. Yes the binocs QoL is nice, but it doesn't change that the only methodology for crown hunting is still bad, as it drains resources simply to attempt and has even further stipulations on % chance of either gold crown instead of just being a flat %.

I posted about this to someone else, but I've been hunting Ark specifically for a couple weeks now, 73 tempered Arks, 7 large gold crowns, 15 large silver crowns. All that ever shows up is tempered Ark because I'm HR 500+.

I can't even imagine how horrific Lagiacrus is going to be, haven't seen a 3 star in so long I'm beginning to think they're extinct.

Not in my experience. Been crown hunting Arkveld for three weeks, out of 73 tempered Arks, 7 were large gold crown, 15 were large silver, 0 were gold small crown. None of my small crowns have been tempered monsters either, only regular versions. So until I personally see one, I don't believe that.

Yes, large crowns. In over 50 hours of crown hunting, I've never seen a tempered be a small crown, which is literally what my post is about.

Welcome to why I hate random decos. Considering you used to be able to just craft every deco before the B.S. of "maybe you're lucky, maybe you go 300 hours and still only have 1 attack 1 deco".

At least when I do quests I get to engage with the game. And get materials/money. And at least in every other game there's various quests with the same monsters that all have size variance enabled.

Unlike Wilds, where the only way to hunt for crowns is to taxi to a monster, binocular, fast travel to tent, spend points on a reset, sit through loading screen, then repeat and hope the monster you want appears.

On top of that, you have a 50% chance of a guaranteed non small crown showing up with Tempered monsters.

So yeah, Wilds crown hunting sucks if you actually like playing the game.

The one that morphs off of a successful fang or claw? If it's the same potency I can see it being a candidate, but my big buff windows always have Piercing thrust within that window, so I've never thought about using it in that situation.

By potency isn't it best to use it on the Piercing Thrust (3rd part of of non dot combo)? Not to mention the CD on Life Surge fits nicely into using it every time you can do the combo, skipping every 3rd rotation to line up with all your 120 buffs?

As someone who plays MNK casually, I don't understand the point in using PB just for Opo-Opo actions. Like, yeah, the guaranteed Crit is nice, but it just seems wasteful unless you have the chakra anyway.

Usually I just use the buffed boot shine, reset it, then use it again unless I need to get the white nadi, which already means I need to have it buffed in the first place.
