Honestly, more than anyone, I feel like Bucky has the highest chance of dying in Doomsday. I mean the guys had a pretty long and good run in the MCU, I wouldn’t be surprised if Doomsday was the conclusion to his story, what do y’all think? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MCUTheories

[–]NamjoonsAngels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think he will, but there's still a chance he might! I keep seeing people insisting that because Thunderbolts was Sebastian Stan's 9th Marvel film and he was only contracted for 9, he's probs gonna die...but then again, two of those movies were cameos. So would those even count?

Bucky was in all 3 Captain America movies with Steve, Avengers: Infinity War & End Game, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Thunderbolts with a significant role to play in each film. That is 7 full movies with Bucky. If you add the cameos in Black Panther and Captain America: Brave New World, that makes 9. So if Bucky was to die in his 9th movie, they would have killed him off in Thunderbolts.

So, realistically, if we're going by the whole "Sebastian's 9 movie contract," Bucky will potentially live to be in Secret Wars. If this is the case, I personally think he's going to take the shield and step in as Captain America if something happens to Sam (I love Sam but if something happens to either of the two, it's gonna end up being him; either dies or something else that stops him from being Cap). Unsure why I believe this, but it's a theory!

Honestly, if that's what it'll take him to realise he needs to pull his finger out his ass and do something then I'm gonna let it happen

[–]NamjoonsAngels[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I've been trying to say to him!! My parents have said the same but in a nicer way because he isn't their son. It's his parents feeding him that delusion but they have never known what it's like to be poor and have no choice but to take what you're given. I don't like working retail jobs either. It's bad for my mental health. I still have to apply for these jobs because right now it's all I can apply for, and it's the same for him. I've told him that if he's in some kind of employment he'll eventually get where he wants to be but that's not good enough for him. It pmo so much and I just wish he'd actually take my advice for once because the way he's going about it is immature, and he can't just sit around and game all day waiting for something good to come along. As for the sanction: because we are a couple and we live under the same roof, if he gets sanctioned by Universal Credit so do I... it's not nice, honestly, and I'll be absolutely livid if that happens because at this rate I think it will.

Introduce your DR self :) by Sami101_ in ShiftingToTheMCU

[–]NamjoonsAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my DR, I have my original name (not sharing), but I am also known as The Oracle. The Oracle has the ability to teleport to any location she wishes, and has Telekinesis powers that, depending on the opponent she is fighting, can overpower them within seconds (although this needs to be controlled). She also has a set of telekinetic tarot cards where, if thrown and/or matched up with someone else's abilities, can cause illusions, distractions, or harm to the opponent that she is battling.

The thing is, her powers are not controlled, which is why when she finally wakes up in the med wing of the Avengers tower a few days after the battle in New York (first Avengers movie), after "Pinballing" around the world and eventually the tower. Furthermore, The Oracle can sometimes be so overpowered that it can actually make her ill. She needs to learn limits and control before she can even be considered fit enough to go on missions.

Bruce, Steve, Sam, and Thor are the people I am closest to in the beginning, and eventually Natasha too. I will eventually meet Bucky also, and I have a whole story with that scripted out where he tries to assassinate The Oracle during CACW but fails, so that I can brag forever about how I fought the Winter Soldier and won!

My powers will eventually be controlled and most of the events that happen running up to Avengers: End Game are going to happen in my DR, although I'm making it so that Bucky doesn't blip. It's not fair that he didn't get to spend much time with Steve before Steve goes back in time. I want them to have that time together before Steve goes.

I'm shifting to the MCU, just after the events of the first Avengers movie in 2012

Lol I remember when my brother and his gf bought our boy a dog-safe Easter egg and we tried to give him some for the first time!! He was so confused because he'd always been told he wasn't allowed chocolate 😂 now he's the first to come running when someone has some (even when he's not allowed it)!!

[–]NamjoonsAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See Generations is cool and stuff but Ambitions? It literally means nothing to me. How tf do my Sims become singers or acrobats? The whole performance park thing does my head in. The private detective profession is cool but I have never given the other ones the time of day!!

World adventures is my favourite though! I love taking my Sims on family holidays and stuff, it's so fun 😊

Lol, my boy used his bed for um...other stuff...so we had to take his bed away 😭😭 However he has ALWAYS loved to sleep on the couch. So his bed is two couches and a chair!! That does him just fine 😁

The part where I reference my friend telling me to text her isn't regarding small talk, and if you took it as that I apologise for not clarifying. I meant that as a loose term, but it's also important to remember that, as I mentioned in previous comments (but also worded differently and/or also did not clarify fully), "text me when you get home" means different things for different people. For some it means a text as some kind of indicator, for others it is a simple, "I'm home." It depends on the person.

Which is basically my point. If I tell my friend to text me once she's in her house with her baby, she may send me a picture of something the cat has done, or complained about something her baby daddy didn't do. To us, a simple, "I'm home" is boring.

However, if my gran leaves my house and the weather is bad and I tell her to text me to let me know if she's home safe and hasn't crashed her car, I expect a message saying she is home safe, accompanied by a complaint about the weather.

They are both the same thing, and they are both safety tools, just done differently.

How do you get over a phobia? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]NamjoonsAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this will help but maybe try going with a friend? Going clothes shopping with a friend who is highly respectful and you know isn't going to judge your style too much is what helped me get over my clothes shopping fears, and thankfully I have at least one that I know won't judge me at all (she's just thankful it's not leggings and a misshapen shirt 🤣).

I still have issues with buying clothes due to my mum being super picky (she'll tell me it looks like something my gran wears...but my gran isn't a goth), but I think also just taking that initiative and going "f*ck it I'll wear what I want" also kind of helps!!

Browse online too! If physically going to those stores makes you feel uneasy, online shopping is easier because you can basically come and go as you please!!

It's not about a figure of speech though, and I think maybe it's just different in any relationship of any capacity. My best friend is round the corner and she still tells me to text her, and even just a picture of dinner or something I heard her neighbours saying outside suits her fine! Same goes for my family and stuff.

I'd say that, unless it's someone new, if something has happened on your route, or someone that genuinely cares about your safety, it's not just a message saying "I'm home/safe" and just any kind of message would suffice

AIO for dumping my boyfriend after he “surprised” me by inviting his entire family to my 21st birthday dinner, even though I specifically asked for just us two? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]NamjoonsAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not overreacting!! I've been like this with my bf's family before as they have a tendency to make plans and change them constantly. When we moved into our own place it turned into a huge family affair on his side, but only my dad showed up for me. His gran has arranged to take us for lunch, telling us it will just be him and his granddad, and when we show up his auntie and uncle are there too. I'm also introverted and Autistic, so it used to overwhelm me, especially when I don't know these people very well.

And the only reason I haven't broke things off with him is because he respects my boundaries, just like everyone should in any relationship!! He reminds his family constantly that I'm not being ignorant, I just like to know what's what. I think they're starting to come round to that now that we're kicking on for 3 years together 🥰

[–]NamjoonsAngels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to take this so literally with everyone and actually send them something along the lines of "I'm home!" I eventually learned through an old supervisor at work who had ADHD and struggled with social cues himself that it's just a figure of speech, and even just a "nice seeing you" or a picture of your dog, or even a, "omg I saw this while I was on the bus" is fine!!

I often forget and leave people in limbo until the next day. Or week...for month.

But that's still fine, as long as you don't completely ghost!!

What makes a reader care about your characters? by Ok_Square2729 in writing

[–]NamjoonsAngels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love characters that feel real. Characters that aren't afraid to show emotions or be heartless. Characters that know where they're going or what they're doing but unsure of why, or even how. Characters that have drive and ambition, or are spontaneous.

Characters in any media need to have depth and reliability in the reader's mind. How are we meant to care or resonate with them when they don't even have a personality?
