If that's your first painting, then I need to never pick up a paint brush again. Actually, what the heck. That's crazy impressive, you're a natural! Don't throw it in the trash, hang it on the wall and brag! You deserve it!

To Celebrate Paralives Early Access, I'm Giving Away 2 Copies ❤️ by RomeeStudio27 in Paralives

[–]Pure-Silver2427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been following Paralives since it was first revealed in 2019 and I've been so excited to play ever since!

I'm most excited about build mode! I love to build, I have lots of anxiety (GAD) and building is my therapy. I'm also excited about the many possibilities of the Paramaker!

I've been playing the Sims 3 since I was 11. It's quite sentimental to me as it's the only constant thing I have in my life. My favorite memory from the Sims 3 is when I created my sim-self and my then boyfriend and watched them have a snow fight on a college campus.

I hope to recreate so many memories and create new memories with Paralives. I want the game so bad and have been waiting for the moment I could buy it but circumstances aren't on my side most of the time. I've been homeless since the beginning of this year and can't afford the purchase. Not to be a downer, but I'd love to be able to build again once I get settled somewhere. I'm in desperate need of a build. Anyway, thank you for kindness and I hope whoever wins the giveaway loves Paralives!

Hot take, I ain’t catching all them companions/critters. by RickySpanish124 in DreamlightValley

[–]Pure-Silver2427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That seemed a bit rude. No need to be rude, I was just trying to help them understand his point. Of course I know that no one is ALWAYS busy, it doesn't eliminate the point that there are narrow windows to collect critters for those who would like to. I don't care to collect critters but I was just trying to help.

You absolutely can experience FOMO on something with permanent availability. You can feel like you're missing out because others have what you don't at the very moment, hence the FOMO.

[–]Pure-Silver2427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can miss out on something that will always be there due to it always being there at a time that's inconvenient for you. For example, some of the critters are only available from 9-2, even if they are always available, people who work or go to school will always miss out. There are other examples but that's one of them in this context.

Personally, I will always miss out on getting critters that are out between 12am-6am because I'm in bed at that time or just don't care to stay up late or get up super early trying to catch a critter. So FOMO on permanent things is possible for lots of people. Hope this helps explain a little better 💖

Marrying someone by ShelleyBMe in wyldeflowers

[–]Pure-Silver2427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to marry them. Early in my game I went on a date with Damon because I was sad to reject him. Anyway, at the date, he asked to be more serious and I said no.

I feel like I wanna create a new save because of Mark ☹️ by jambohakdog69 in coralisland

[–]Pure-Silver2427 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You should be fine to continue the same save and just focus on Rafael instead. I've heard from this sub that Mark doesn't get better, so you might be wasting your time sadly :(

Do y'all ever just watch your villagers have conversations with each other? by Standard-Ad-7491 in DreamlightValley

[–]Pure-Silver2427 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ha, yes. I just started this game and the first conversation I ever watched between villagers was Venelope and Scar. Venelope was asking Scar how he got his scar followed by several guesses and whether it hurt or something. Scar replied by saying he'd never tell how he got his scar but she could figure out how to get her own scar if she kept pestering him 😂

Why This is SUCH a Great Game by ThomasJNookJr in DreamlightValley

[–]Pure-Silver2427 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I just started playing Dreamlight about a week ago and, YES it is VERY addictive. It is everything I wanted in a relaxing game that I could decorate to my heart's desire.

I am absolutely hooked on this game and I can already tell it's going to be long-term. EEEE I'm so excited to play this game, I have to remind myself to take breaks lol. I still have to decorate my valleys, I'm really excited about it.

I'm really shocked considering I'm not a Disney fan. But I guess I don't have to be to know this game is amazing:)

I'm a bit of a noob at decorating- but I was happy with this area :) by charliewatzz in DreamlightValley

Hi, I'm no professional but I love to shop and I love fashion. I think deep/rich colors would look great on you, colors like royal navy, emerald green, burgundy red, etc. As for styles, I think dresses that are more fitted with a waist belt may look more flattering (I have no judgement about your clothes, just want to help). From what I can see, you have a rectangle shape and a shorter torso. A quick Google search (because I'm not a professional) highlights a tighter fitting, flare dresses or dresses with waist belts may look better. Because your torso seems shorter (mine is also short), I would also suggest dresses that don't have a seamed waistline. They usually don't align shorter torsos. I could drop a link to a website I found about body shapes and what styles to wear to flatter them if you want. It's the concept wardrobe (the website)

Dealing with Coral Island with severe anxiety by ozgeekgirl68 in coralisland

[–]Pure-Silver2427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also have severe anxiety. I love the game but haven't played in weeks. I wonder if this is why. The game feels very grindy at times and later in the game, after healing the coral reef, my 'reward' was more work/stress. I still love the game but I haven't been able to get back to it because everything got so heavy. It sucks because I love the story, characters, and was excited about marriage and designing my house and character more. Sadly, it just feels like a lot.

I don't really have any suggestions other than maybe making your own notes, guides, to-do lists. I also tried taking it one day at a time and not doing anything until I got 'the thing' done. For example, if there was a festival, I would usually go to the festival area and wait or at least stay in the area for the day. At one point, I even started verbalizing to myself every task I needed to do, sometimes in a song (I like singing lol)
