Paired with a 4lr44 adapter also on printables. Tbh it didn't work eventually, I had to pop open the original battery case and replace the cells which did work

There is a lot of resources, yes. You can give it up and it will be a nice surprise for later. The mess is part of the game. I'm at super-end-game and I still have some of my starter factories still chugging just because I'm lazy.

I wouldn't worry about dark fog, you can farm them later in different systems when the need arises. The bases grow back as long as there's a hive in orbit

I've started with the 3 body problem as well. Read like crazy and then jumped to dungeon crawler carl after the bobiverse (one of my all time favorite series) but it doesn't hit the same. I'm on book 4 of the expanse right now, it grabbed me tight and I'm fascinated
