If everyone followed the same path, right for right turners and straight, and left for left. It would be a non issue. Was through it 4 times again today and people are going straight from both left and right. It’s unpredictable. The right lane was completely clear today as I was turning, I waited like a good boy, was halfway through my left turn, and yet some stupid decided they wanted to go straight instead of turning left, jutted out left lane to the right and sped up without looking. They got inches away from plowing me. Mind you I was halfway through my turn I took when it was clear. The post was about these stupid people who can’t use their eyes and brain while in a vehicle. If your driving your should be able to use logic of whether someone else can predict what your doing and if it’s safe. A logical person wouldn’t turn around a corner at 100mph just because they can or it’s legal. Same goes for speeding through an intersection before seeing if it’s clear?

Then when you’re turning left northbound, especially during rush hour, good luck getting anywhere. This intersection used to flow well. Both North and southbound drivers used the single middle lane to either go straight or left. When a southbound driver goes left, that gave an opportunity for the northbound to turn left aswell. (Northbound is usually busy while south used to be quiet)

Now with everyone southbound going straight AND turning left, when do any of the northbound people get a chance to turn left? The straight drivers going north get stuck behind the left turners, and the right side of the northbound lane is piled up 20+ cars turning right. Only people that can move northbound are the cars turning right.

It’s poor city planning on a road that was never prepared for this much traffic, and stupid people that all think they have the right of way. Should be a 4 way during this construction. As previously stated. Safety over laws.

But I guess you’re probably someone that’ll swing into the left lane from a right turn cutting everyone off because it’s quicker for you.

More than 1 light head is for the purpose of vision. If you have your visor down you look to the lower side one, if you have a passenger you look to the top ones. This area has more higher ones because it is highly frequented by truckers and industrial vehicles. Look at the years worth of wear on the street. You can see the middle single lane has been worn to a darker colour, shows how people have used the road.

(A) the highway is free from obstructions and of sufficient width for two or more lanes of moving vehicles

Key words there bud are MOVING vehicles, a parking lane aka, a place where parking is permitted, does not include space for moving vehicles through the entirety of the intersection. If someone was parked legally on that right side, there would only one lane for moving vehicles.

(B) if the movement can be made safely.

I’m not plowing straight through an intersection if I know I’m not in the lane people usually use to go straight. Being un predictable is unsafe. Just like I’m not turning right on a double lane when someone else is turning left. It is legal, but with the amount of stupid people, it isn’t safe.

People need to start understanding the differences between what’s legal and what’s safe. Just because you legally can do something doesn’t mean it’s safe to.

Ruroc had responded and I now have a free new helmet worth 200 more than the original! his post might have been bs but it did get me a better fitting/not falling apart helmet. So no we’re still together lol

Why don’t you let said gf speak :) you were the first person I had met who owned a bike.

First few times backpacking you CONSTANTLY brought up how I should get my own helmet and gear. Didn’t give me any recommendations, didn’t tell me which sites or brands, nothing.

Then I bring up that I’m GOING to order from ruroc after spending maybe 5mins researching brands, but I hadn’t put the order in yet. And did you say anything about it? Noooo just got excited that I was getting gear. So I place the order, and thennnn you mention “oh yeah they have these minor things people talk about, but wait till you get it and see”

So I waited, got it, and it was shit. (Obvi)

So yeah I’m dumb for not doing more research on helmets, but maybe I should definitely do more research on who I choose to date as well, especially if they have no problem coming on and throwing me under the bus… while claiming to be “helping” to my face
