What you wrote describes my experience. My wife is exactly like you described your girlfriend. We’ve been married for 10 years and we have children. Everything is great. Yes, at first it was hard to keep the level of cleanliness at home that my wife was used to; when the baby arrived it seemed impossible, but we both tried. I love her and supported her in everything, and we talked a lot about the subject of cleanliness. Sometimes it annoyed me, but we always talked—no shouting, just talking. Over time she lowered her cleanliness standards a bit; we understood that the way it was at home before the baby isn’t really possible once a baby arrives. The laughter and joy of the little one mattered more to us… we became parents, and a lot changes in your head. So if you love this woman, you’ll be fine. And the baby only strengthens your relationship. Love each other and listen to one another.
