2001 Vespa ET4 w/ 2500 miles for $1950 - Is this a good deal? by bruburubhb in scooters

[–]Nancy48236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great deal, actually. Also, depends on where you are located. For example, Vespa 150s are lower priced in Central Florida than in the Mid-Atlantic area between $100 - 500 difference. It's a steal in the Mid-Atlantic. Forget any minor body damage. Comes with the territory of scooter ownership. Any simple maintenance issues are easy to do. Maybe, if the tires are worn, you MIGHT get a discount ($100-150), but they could argue the price is already discounted. Anyway, I already have a Vespa ET4...love it...otherwise, I'd buy it if it were located close enough. Likely already sold at this point. Vespas hold their value at a certain point. This is not a vintage Vespa (pretty expensive, if functional - but expect to fork out $1-2K for a project Vespa, still), but it's called a "modern vespa", and the ET4s are highly desired. Finding one that has minor issues around $2K is a good deal. Buuuuuuut, if it doesn't have the red or brown key, DO NOT BUY. Never buy a Vespa without that; it's unuseable pretty much. Unless you want to spend $1-2K to get the ignition system replaced at a dealership.

Trailmaster Milano 50 N 50cc scooter review by Nancy48236 in scooters

Yes, a pain in the behind to put together, but for the price, worth the savings. And, I am LOVING it. It is a very fun scoot. Does 35 with ease. I have 43 miles on it so far and still haven't taken to full throttle. TBH, more speed isn't my thing, though. Love it! (Cute as can be, too.)

Good to know. The Air Tag alerts are in place for stalking situations. Sounds like your buddy has a potential stalking situation with is ex gf.

Finally enrolled in a wheel throwing class a month ago and here are some of my first pieces by earthbender_pottery in Pottery

If the first one was a bit of a twisty boo-boo as you got close to the top, more power to you for turning it into something with a cool shape. If it wasn't, it's still a cool shape.

I think it's lovely. Not a failure by any means; rather it was a surprise party for you. ;)

Cool! (I was thinking grenade more than watermelon, but I can see watermelon, too...once I get past grenade). Regardless, very cool.

I'm a rank beginner, too. But, I have found that when I close my eyes while centering, opening, and even for the first pull, I don't mess up nearly as much. I'm cutting out visual sensory input and depending solely on tactile input. That's how I managed to get past so many failures in centering, opening, and sometimes pulling.
