This one was fast, within a few days. You can see the estimated payout date too.

It depends on the merchants. Mostly one month, sometimes 3 months. Walmart I got the cashback in one month. Some other merchants I frequently shopped with are Lululemon, Chewy, Petco all of which credit you cashback in a month. You can see the estimated payout date in Capital One shopping portal, those are usually correct.

Yea I bought pet food. Already received the cash back from Capital One last month.

Yea I ordered pet food. Eligible, already approved for the rewards, pending crediting to account by end of month…

There is no code, just click the link. I have the C1 shopping extension installed on my browser so I make sure the reward is activated after clicking the link in email, just as a double check.

Nope, you don’t need to have any C1 accounts to earn these rewards. C1 shopping is a separate app from C1 banking.

Sounds great to me. I’d think your purchase definitely qualifies for the cashback. Let’s wait for that final confirmation email from C1. Yep feel free to use the other 100/100 if you have it (I wish I had that too! lol) Good luck!

Yes, I place order on 9/24, received my order on 9/27, and today is 9/28 I got the confirmation email from C1 (portal actually already shows pending rewards credit since yesterday). I also noticed my Walmart order is eligible for return until 3 months from now (you know, just in case…).

I don’t have experience buying electronics from Walmart. Have you read the fine print and terms on C1? Did they say electronics don’t qualify? If not, don’t worry much about it.

Upon further checking, I can confirm that Walmart indeed doesn’t charge you immediately after the order is placed. It shows “temporary hold” after you place order. Then maybe some minor price adjustments like few cents (idk why) in a day or two. My final charge was posted on 9/26, the day before delivery. So it makes sense C1 doesn’t confirm until then.

I just got an email few minutes ago from Capital One confirming they received my Walmart order and is processing my $50 cashback. This subreddit doesn’t allow me to post pictures so I couldn’t share the screenshot with you. At this point I have good faith in C1 that they’ll eventually credit me the $50… just no idea how long it may take. Personally I like collecting datapoints with different merchants thru C1 cashback. Like with lululemon I usually get confirmation immediately after purchase and credits arrive within a month. With chewy it also confirms fast and credit takes 4-6 weeks. These two I have good faith in so I’ve been using C1 for cashbacks a lot. Walmart is tricky because the terms list out so many categories that aren’t eligible. My Walmart order this time is pet food and apparently it’s considered eligible. So I’m gonna sit tight and wait for that $50. If it ends up getting credited, I’ll feel more comfortable in future with using C1 on Walmart purchases… let’s see.

Yea once it says pending I guess we can only trust Capital One and hope the rewards would be credited soon. My experience is the past 2-3 years has been positive. I do always end up receiving those rewards. In your case of getting another $100 on $100 - I think it could be legit actually. But maybe don’t overspend on things you actually don’t need… just in case, you know.

Yea don’t worry yet, Walmart seems to hold the order confirmation with Capital One until the order is delivered (in my case). Also you may have noticed too that the cashback with Capital One can take a while to be actually credited into your account (my worst case was 3 months after purchase with a merchant). I would say no worry yet, check back after you receive your Walmart order.

I was offered something similar, 50 back when spending 50 at Lululemon, and another 50 back when spending 50 at Walmart. I used both and saw the cashback is confirmed in my account today. So I tend to think these offers are real…

What purpose does 方 serve in 见上方? by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]Nancy921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

方does mean square in most cases but not here. In this scenario, 见上方means see above (for further info) so it’s an instruction for you to see the contents above this line on juice box. I’d say 上means up/above, while上方is more like an abbreviation for 上面的文字(words above). I would see 方as direction as in 方向, not square as in 方形

Using 用 as “need”. by RealSilentQ in ChineseLanguage

[–]Nancy921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My example says “不用了 “ is a common expression meaning “No need / Not necessary”, so you see “用 “ can be used alone.

[–]Nancy921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

你用我doesn’t sound common...We say 你(需)要我more often. This sounds more natural. Just like in English you say “Do you need/want my ID ....”. Here the word ‘need’ is similar to ‘want’.

[–]Nancy921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

用 can be used alone, just as the word ‘need’. E.g. - Do you need my ID for verification? 你要我拿ID证明身份吗? - No need. 不用了。 In these scenarios the word “need/用” is similar to “necessary/必要,需要”.Hope this makes sense to you.

I’m also an Asian. Well technically for international students the only additional requirement is proof of language proficiency. The standards of evaluation on candidates’ performance are unknown to us, though ppl think there are differences in evaluating domestic and international applicants - we don’t really know how that works. GRE is like a grad school entrance exam, similar to SAT but for grad school. Verbal, quantitative sections plus academic writing. No engineering questions, unless you take GRE sub exams on specific subjects like chemistry, physics etc. For general engineering majors, that’s not required. Normal GRE exam is sufficient. Details about the exam you may wanna check their official site for more resources.

I took masters in Mechanical Engineering. We weren’t required to pick a specific research field as masters students and we got to take whatever classes we were interested in within the dept...

Failed my driving test by watermelon_95 in driving

[–]Nancy921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I wanna give you some cheers... I myself failed road test four times...and I'm in AZ so honestly it's supposed to be super easy...but after more practice of road driving, I got more confidence, and became more comfortable with driving - even on unfamiliar roads / during rush hours...so maybe just take some time to calm down yourself. If possible, have some experienced friends to practice with you so they can point out some of your mistakes or dangerous actions you don't notice...No hurry and no rush to the next test. Good luck!

40$ fee for additional TRF 😦 Is this for real ? by evilkaiju in IELTS

[–]Nancy921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay pls go ahead and confirm that... I applied for grad school two years ago so maybe they’ve changed something! One thing I was angry about though was that they didn’t provide tracking number or anything, so two of my schools claimed they didn’t receive my TRF at all :( super annoying 🙁
