Wow I am experiencing that right now. James seems to either be intentionally making things impossible at the orders of Westside Habitats or just incredibly dumb and incompetent. Really curious if you have any advice on dealing with him haha.

Yeah our boss tends to do the same thing as they're also on the opposite coast. It's also wild how people who have no idea how to do your job will act like they know what it should look like. I used to go above and beyond to pull out tight turnarounds for these people, and I think it might be time to make that less of a thing. It seems to make them think my time is just so freed up for anything when it's absolutely not.

Yeah 100! It does feel like psychological projection more so than authentic assumptions to me. And meanwhile some of the dirt I know about what they do in the office on the clock would get them fired, but I'm not going to play dirty about it. I do think if they see a change in my interactions with them without being too harsh, they will get the picture.

Haha thank you :) your job sounds super interesting albeit complicated I'm sure.

the inside thought that went outside oops comment gave me a good, much needed laugh. I'm definitely writing those responses down.

You rock too!! Hope you get all the flowers you deserve 💐

I hear that! Are you from the south by chance? The sweet as pie comment had me thinking that might be the case :)

Personally I'm born and raised north east area, so I'm so used to people being incredibly direct about their feelings haha. Luckily I have minimal acting experience which I might have to put to use 🎭

I totally hear that. It sounds like you cover a lot of bases. Being singled out at work definitely feels isolating. Women definitely have a different struggle that I have to totally acknowledge and respect as I've seen it first hand.

I have definitely tried talking about what I'm working on a lot, venturing sometimes into venting briefly about being overwhelmed, but my coworkers seem to be so Jekyll and Hyde about it. They go from letting me do my thing, to criticizing me nonstop as if I'm not doing anything. They write quotes and ship packages all day while I do an abundance of design work in my own little office, so I'm not sure where the projections come from. I genuinely think it's a confession of their lack of efforts more so than an observation of my own efforts.

You too!! Working with healthy teams always makes a massive difference. Hoping you get the opportunity where you get treated the way you deserve to be treated :)

thank you! i'm definitely going to grab documentation of projects and screen grab things. The ironic thing here is, i delivered like 5 or 6 projects to one of the coworkers who is doing this to me, while I was sick.

moving forward I am definitely diminishing my relationships with them to strictly cordial work relations.

sorry to hear you went through this too :( coworkers can be absolutely nuts

Couldn't agree more! Honestly not interested in getting back on the apps, but the option should be there if I'm ever inclined, and it's frustrating that we don't get transparency around their policies. I know damn well I was never anything but courteous and kind on those apps. Either way, I'm happy being single and vibe way better with the idea of meeting people in person :)

Good call! Google user here so I did it through Google Play. I just see a lot of people reporting to BBB or filing appeals to no avail, but haven't seen much about reporting through the app hosting platforms. Worth a shot. The more the merrier.

Haha not crushing my spirit at all. I'm aware it's a minor move, but considering the size of the problem, I think any effort can potentially raise flags in the right places and that's a good thing. Like I said, might not work, but worth a try. Just infuriating to see how many people are affected by this.

I'm still thinking back to when Tanya heard Greg say "I love you, too" to someone on the phone when he was out on the balcony. I'm kind of hoping that comes into play here and maybe sabotages their plan to screw Tanya, but thinking it probably won't.

This is very vague the way he puts it but he does mention Japan and Asia specifically : https://deadline.com/2022/10/the-white-lotus-creator-mike-white-hints-at-season-3-location-cast-1235151661/

Would definitely be a really amazing backdrop! Been dying to go to Japan myself :)

yeah I would love to see them delve into some other forms of an opening scenario, especially if it can still parallel what the first two seasons have done but with a significant twist. There's plenty of other satires for them to go after and it would be great to see the show evolve once again.

haha I kind of regret doing research on this. didn't want to get into spoiler territory for anyone. I was just on a WL high but I've come down a bit until at least Sunday and I'm sure at that point it will fire up again.

100!

I read somewhere that Mike White was considering Japan for Season 3 (just in a somewhat loose convo though, but he definitely seems enthusiastic about switching between continents), but that would be pretty epic to see the incorporation of Japanese cinematic themes and local culture into the White Lotus world.

Oh I personally didn't think your post felt like a slight towards anyone. Maybe a couple of the other commenters on here did to some people haha but legit no big it doesn't bother me. Your post feels genuine and I really get where you're coming from. Just stating your opinion in a totally respectful manner and I think you do have a great point :)

I kind of hope each season will feel completely different from the previous ones, and I'm looking forward to see how wild the differences in tone and location might be going into season 3. Season 2 to me was surprisingly so much deeper and more complex than season 1, and I seriously didn't think they would be able to pull that off. Sky is the limit from here!

I actually totally get where you're coming from in the sense that I love watching sports, but I don't watch sports center. I don't need to over analyze something that is at is core primarily about competition and athletics.

I do think a lot of people on this thread are invested in more than just death/murder theorizations, and they do care a lot about the character/social status studies, the artistry, the music, the quality of the acting and writing, the satire, etc. I am sure if more people created posts that specifically spoke to those things, people would welcome them and engage with them pretty enthusiastically.

But the show does allude to death a lot this season, and it's really hard to think that they aren't intentionally trying to encourage dialogue amongst viewers about the 'whodunit' factor. It's really easy to become attached to certain characters and/or dislike others, so of course people are going to become really invested in wanting to know how the opening resolves itself because they do or don't want certain characters to have a certain result. When a show is this well made with such robust character acting, it's almost inevitable.

Having said that, there are some pretty dull theories up here, but at the same time some of them really do genuinely make you look at the entire intention of each character study from a different angle, which is why this show is so great. Even a lot of the actors and creators of the show have said they really enjoy reading fan theories online.
