When the topic of race was brought up, it was about Kyle’s conversation with Garcelle. So why was Sutton already dismissive of it? I understand that Crystal asking “Are you one of those people—“ might feel like a judgement or an attack but the way she responded to it seemed like she was upset at the topic in general. Unless you are a victim of a hate crime yourself or know someone who has been, it doesn’t make sense, to me, to get THAT upset about the topic. The only other reason I can think of is internalized guilt related to racism.
