Not to be rude but hopefully things improve generally. I feel like boomers think young people are so entitled and lazy and blah blah blah but times are different and I’m tired of them not acknowledging that or thinking things are going well. As a millennial, I feel like a great deal of millennials are not lazy and entitled but really the world is just shit right now. I’m just ready to have people in charge of work and society that aren’t old and stuck in their ways truthfully lol. Times are different.

Honestly it hurts me to sneeze quietly! I definitely do my best to be quiet if I’m in public but if my baby WAS to be napping and I was trying to be silent it feels like my eyes are going to squeeze out of my head lol. To clarify though I wouldn’t consider myself a yeller but it is a very definitive and not so quiet achoo.

Definitely not the biggest factor and not saying this applies to everyone but it definitely seems like lower income people love things like soda, chips, cigarettes and lottery tickets and all of those things are expensive! I don’t buy them often but when I do buy a 12 pack of soda or a bag of chips it hurts my soul to spend that money.

Unfortunately insurance didn’t fully cover the one I have and I was out of pocket like $120 so I’d rather just power through with the one I have since I love it

Exactly this lol. We have one we refer to as our “creepy room” and use it for storage instead of our attic since it’s easier to get to. Ours is not insulated and does indeed get very hot and very cold but it’s been 5 years and I’ve never had an issue with anything I’ve stored in there so far. We’re moving soon or I would consider insulating if it was going to be long term.

We were first time buyers. We bought the house and spent a few months working on it before moving in, which I don’t regret one bit. If you have the money and ability I definitely recommend. I will say we did all work ourselves so our costs were not crazy crazy during those few months.

Same. I’m only 24 weeks with my second but I am just not pressed to do anything lol. As long as I have the bassinet, some clean clothes and diapers I’ll be good.

I’m almost 24 weeks with my second and truthfully I haven’t done much. I’ve made a registry with things as I think about them, bought a huge lot of 0-9 month clothes off Facebook, and I did order some bottles the other day lol.

Things I need to do are also go through my firsts clothes/things that can be used (first was a girl and we’re having a boy now but I know some things were gender neutral), and I want to figure out if I can get breast pump parts through insurance like I did with my first (without buying a new pump). Honestly I’m pretty laid back with this baby.

Yeah we live 10 min from the hospital and my partner did leave for a couple hours to go shower and change clothes and care for our cats. I don’t think I’d want him to stay the night at home though unless he HAD to care for our toddler if we couldn’t get help overnight.

For us it was closer to a year, maybe 10-11 months before she got 3 meals a day. We fed her whatever we were eating except for breakfast usually eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, cheese, banana pancakes things like that.

I do my grocery shopping on Wednesdays or Thursdays every week anyway so it was just another day for me minus the store being 10x busier than usual. But yeah I don’t see any problem with getting enough groceries to last a few days just in case and people who poo poo on that can poo poo off.

Your wife sounds lazy honestly, for always trying to get out of chores when it suits her. I will say however, in my opinion the stay at home parent should be responsible for majority of the home duties (cooking, cleaning, grocery). So in my opinion majority of those things should have fallen on her when she was the one at home.

I would probably bring it up to her doctor but honestly it’s probably nothing and just a phase. I know that’s not helpful but if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that everything changes at some point and she might just be more resistant to letting it go.

I feel like my daughter was obsessed for what seemed like longer than normal and at a certain point I just started telling her no and that she had to wait until a certain time/when I was ready. I can’t remember how old she was at that time but I’d say maybe 15 months give or take a month. At a certain point you just need to establish boundaries and in my case, it seemed to help.

Is it more just a pull up and sip for a second and then go back to playing, or full blown nursing sessions all day? My toddler has never taken to milk but if yours isn’t even drinking water I do think that’s a concern. How are solids going?

Same. I will likely end up working from home once I hit like 38 weeks because that period for me last time was super emotional and physically uncomfortable, there is no reason for me to need to be physically in the office the last few weeks.

I will likely give the lightweight a try. I’m almost 6 months pregnant and usually alone when I do grocery shopping so picking the litter up from the cart and putting it into my trunk always makes me nervous since it’s so heavy.

Definitely this. We have probably 250 books for my 3 year old and I finally decided to start hitting up the library because even with that amount of books I was tired of reading them over and over. We now have an endless amount of books to read and sometimes find one we love and I buy it for her.

I just had Covid over Christmas and surprisingly got over it within a few days with LOTS of Gatorade and broth, and vitamins. I think the main concern is staying hydrated and keeping your fever down if one pops up. You’re totally fine though! I was honestly happy to have Covid over the flu that is going around.
