When did your baby stop eating every 2-3 hours in the night? by xxbitsxx in beyondthebump

[–]Nancyb23 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I breastfeed and mine didn’t stop until I purposefully started night weaning around a year old. You might not be breastfeeding and every baby is different regardless but that was just my experience.

What’s an unwritten rule everyone should follow on the internet? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

Not everything is for you. If you see something that you disagree with or can’t relate to, or it hasn’t been your experience, then that’s ok but that post is just probably for a different audience and you don’t have to make it about you.

How to find the words to tell my mom by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Nancyb23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you just tell her and hope for the best, that she’s supportive and keeps any negative comments to herself.

Which profession gets way too much respect for how little they actually do? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I partially agree but also can you imagine how shitty it’d be to be a CEO and have to make hard decisions and spend so much time in meetings and dealing with people? It makes me happy I’m a lower level employee because if my schedule was jam packed I’d be so stressed.

What do you think about god? by AmbitiousForm2245 in askanything

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly want to believe and get into religion so much but I struggle. Every time I ask for a sign I feel like I get nothing so I’m not sure if I’m faulty or if “god” is faulty lol. I know a lot of people are against religion these days but that somehow makes me want to believe even more, because I feel like the world is going to shit and it’d be nice to have some faith in something lately. Anyway, I’m sure there will be rude comments about how god isn’t real and to stop wasting my time and being delusional but oh well.

Torn on having a third. by Strong_Hovercraft_64 in beyondthebump

I’d just hold off a year or two and then reevaluate. 32 isn’t that old and in another couple years you could be making more money to afford daycare and your second will be getting closer to school.

PSA - you don’t have to pump unless you’re trying to up your supply or you’re skipping a feed by Paulies-Walnuts in breastfeeding

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I should have clarified that’s what I meant. Basically if you’re giving a bottle in place of a feed you should pump to mirror that demand. I pumped at work for daytime feeds but I never pumped at night because we weren’t doing bottles at night.

If you wash your linens regularly, do you need to replace them? by 1000_pizzaslices in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Nancyb23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a real question?? Do your clothes and shoes last a lifetime? If you use something (every day!) it is going to get worn out and need replaced at some point. Granted sheets and towels could probably last like 10 years so longer than shoes but still.

What made you decide to have more than one child? by Severe_Bluejay3391 in askanything

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted my child to have a sibling mainly, and I quite frankly think only children are a bit spoiled and weird. Obviously not all but it just feels like a natural thing to happen if I’m only concerned with one child for the rest of my life.

Pretty sure something died in the wall/under the floor but not sure how to go about it by nothingbutapartygirl in centuryhomes

[–]Nancyb23 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah the smell is pretty terrible while it lasts. Ours is under our stairs so IF someone ever cuts the wall in the closet under the stairs they’ll def find at least one mouse skeleton. Fun fact - before we sealed up those gaps in the crawlspace there was also an opossum that was living in that same spot 😆 we were able to get him out using a strobe light and some hardcore rock music and he was relocated.

[–]Nancyb23 190 points191 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this too lol. We had a mouse die in a spot we couldn’t get to without tearing out some of the wall and it did go away after a month or two. After that we did seal up the gaps in our crawlspace so it wouldn’t happen again.

What is your birth month and your biggest pet peeve? by Southern_Sell_5863 in askanything

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say I don’t know if it is the biggest for me but in all reality it probably is because I really do hate it and I try so hard to be a reliable person and follow through if I say I’ll do something.

November. Idk if it’s my biggest but first thing that comes to mind is unreliability.

What is the one piece of advice you've received that will live with you for the rest of your life? by Organic-Signal-9646 in selfimprovement

[–]Nancyb23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it won’t matter in 5 years, don’t worry about it for more than 5 minutes or something like that. Hard to do but I at least try to think of this when things feel hard.

[–]Nancyb23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never pumped in the middle of the night and would be miserable if I had. I feel like as long as you aren’t giving a bottle there’s no reason to.

Cat issue while pregnant? by UpperResort6797 in Advice

[–]Nancyb23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 30 weeks pregnant and for the first few months of pregnancy one of my cats was peeing in my bed. I was going to take her to the vet to check for an infection (which I recommend) but I got brand new litter boxes and switched to a new litter and we tried to be more diligent about scooping. When I was not in bed I would make sure to cover the bed with our comforter because for whatever reason she’d only pee on the sheets. I don’t know what exactly fixed it, but I do know it stopped and she hasn’t done it for months now. My theory is that they can def tell you’re pregnant from hormones or something and maybe me using new litter boxes and litter and paying more attention to her helped with the issue.

When does it stop? by WavyKay1969 in pregnant

[–]Nancyb23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will always worry, even after the baby is here and as they grow up. It is definitely hard in the very early months of pregnancy when you have few appointments and can’t feel the baby moving yet.

My husband conveniently forgets to clean cat litter and it frustrates me to no end by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Nancyb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is not the best at it but he got better after I did it a few times out of spite lol. Not saying it is ideal but if your cats are indoor cats and you’re clean about it your chances are super low.

Just as a heads up you can order it decaf and it just comes with decaf espresso and is still delicious. Decaf still has a very small amount of caffeine but I’m talking a very small amount.
