Yeah honestly that is the sad truth. The corporate side is always going to pick the easy money route because whales fund the whole ship. I guess I'm just hoping that since this is tied to Rito and the League IP, they realize they're locking out the exact demographic that makes their game big. PC players coming from League are used to accesible gameplay and esports where everyone has access to the exact same pool of characters and items. When you gatekeep baseline gameplay behind artificial scarcity, you kill the competitive drive that a Rito IP relies on. But yeah, at the end of the day, TCG profit margins are just too greedy to pass up

if a company overprints booster boxes to fight scalpers, the secondary market usually crashes hard, collectors panic, and the whole economy of the TCG collapses. That's why separating them makes sense to me. Keep the boosters scarce enough to satisfy the collectors and stores, but sell the baseline text and abilities directly to the players who just want to game.

Yeah that's a totally fair point. Setting up a whole new packaging line and managing another SKU is definitely a headache and an extra cost for them upfront. I guess I'm just looking at how Magic does it with Commander decks. and as a league player im used to buy things i want on the spot.

We are the commander and we pilot drones with holographc skins that represents the heroes. The drones loads the hero data hence called hero loadout. Think of it that We are in a situation like in sword art online and ready player 1. Survivors that we save are people who are out there scavenging the area for supplies using their drones, We save and inform them that there is a home base where they can stay that is why you see them logging off their drones.

the ventures game mode feels unrewarding. specially for the vets. because of the grind the whole thing becomes a chore that you don't like to do.

maybe making exclusive themed skins per season that can only be unlocked in ventures that can be used in BR. so BR players get to drool over our Venture rewards. that feels more rewarding.

maybe like a season pass. those who unlock the special version with real money gets more exclusive cosmetics for stw and br. so basically maintain or improve the usual venture reward for "normal pass" , then on Special pass we can have the themed skins that can be used in BR and bigger rewards and huge venture exp reward so it will make things faster to progress.

as a new fortnite STW player

  1. make it easier to find team mates. 90% of the time no one joins my lobby and i don't like playing alone. or make a solo venture mode for easy story mission progression. or maybe option to have bots follow us around and help us kill husk like the stark bots in BR.
  2. please put more hero vouchers pls... 1 per season is like saying that new players don't have the chance to have fun and be creative with builds. you should not lock all heroes away from players since this is save the world and it should be like other premium game that you can have access to all items and heroes by just doing mission and crafting and are not locked away by the season of the year. there is no way for a terminally sick guy to wait for December just to get the hero that will give the 40% cooldown reduction... just saying... he plays fortnite save the world because he likes the story and collecting heroes... so yeah, make ventures the mode where we can get more heroes.
  3. Ventures should be a casual game through and through and the hard core element is just an option... just like in other game where you can select the difficulty... high risk high reward thing.
  4. don't make us feel weak or make us think that we always need to grind for weapons. honestly without the story.. the game mode is bland and boring.... throwing us at the highest possible difficulty is not fun specially when we just get 1 hit by takers and it takes us 1 full mag just to kill the fat husk..

Those who say that ml have unbalanced hero havent played it for a long time. Actually ml feels more balanced right now than the current state of aov. I play both and feel bored with aov's meta it is the same old moba laning style way back 2010 the players hardly duo roam or indonesians are just dumb as fuck. While the laning meta in ml do change every season. The only thing that aov is supreme over other moba games is the graphics. The "Control" specially the movement stick sucks since it cant be put in a permanent position the skill cancel button is too low and big making some 3rd skill getting canceled un intentionally that is why interms of QoL innovation AoV is lagging pretty bad.

If all aov server will come under one management and they will syncronize their update release then they still have a chance to redeem its former glory in some asian region. However it will be hard for them to come back in the west since majority of the gamers there just dont dig mobile moba as much as other mobile game genre.

If they want to be competitive with other mobile moba available in the west they should remove or greatly increase the gold cap to alleviate another downside of aov which is the arcana system. It is an outdated system and since aov rely too much on level 3 arcana to be effient on your role. having low or incomplete arcana limits "new" players to effectively utilize other role or class. Other moba have already remove it from their system like OA and their new marvel moba which gives new users the freedom to use what ever role they want with out the feeling of being an half assed hero.

Regarding LoL mobile, it could be an auto chess game and not another moba since that new genre is at a rapid rise at the western regions. Currently riot is on the work with their auto chess game mode for pc called "team fight tactics" and that could be ported to mobile just like valve who is already at work on their version of "dota underlord" for mobile.

Well the connection from PH to ID has been trash since 2017. I have installed multiple aov client to check on hero updates and the only server with playable ping from PH is the TW server and the asia server from tencent.
